Why do illegal immigrants get treated better?
May 17th, 2012 at 9:29pm

Why is the government offering to pay people $300 a week to take in an illegal immigrant, yet they are not providing the same scheme for homeless Australians. It beggars belief. Why are they more important than our own? I bet that it's another Green policy, just like the carbon tax was. The Greens seem hell bent on destroying this great country, and for some reason seem to value the lives of these bludging parasites more than Australians.

Why isn't a similar scheme in place for homeless. Why do you think that this is okay?

I didnt say it was... OK... I just expect all those that think its ok for people smugglers to make a fortune out of people should put their hands up. and do the right thing.. in fact I am shocked that this govt could even come up with such a scheme...its rank it really is..

they have stuffed up then they use taxpayers money in the hope this appalling idea will make it all go away..

some bloody hope.

as you say we have enough of our own homeless that we do precious little for..

yet now its put your hand up for wealthy young men who can afford to pay people smugglers..so they can cross our borders ahead of many others..

The Vice trading sleaze Government and the Corporate maggot see more potential value in their precious cargo of illegal victims of injustice as consumers, than they do in homeless Australian natives....

They do. In Victoria its called Housing Commission:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Housing_Commission_of_Victoria

In NSW they have something similar:

The official policy of the Victorian Housing commission is that if you speak English, you will not get a house.  The Victorian Housing commission exists to look after the worlds victims of injustice for the corporate maggot. Cool

Are you advocating a similar scheme should be used to help ameliorate our homeless problem. We have an international commitment to help the asylum seekers that arrive on our shores. If the department of immigration thinks outside the square and comes up with a way of reducing the financial burden of this commitment, what has this got to do with our neglect of the homeless.

The saying charity begins at home has been twisted to mean charity stops at home. If something begins here it must end some place other than here. Think about it.

I started a discussion on this forum called "Why should we...." have a look.
I agree with you. It's an absolute joke! We are paying to look after these illegal immigrants (and yes they are illegal because they come here on a boat without declaring it).... It's hard enough to support yourself and your family let alone other people who mean nothing to us.
If the roles were reversed would we get the same treatment in their country? NO CHANCE! Probably get shot on the spot for trying to come into the country they way they do here!

What people mean by that is we can't just go handing out money willie-nillie... The average Australian can't afford that. So it clearly means... you look after your family first

Simple answer: they're not.

You've been misinformed on this matter.

The policy has nothing to do with illegal immigrants.
