Does it matter whether the cause is genetic or environmental?

You don't care about the cause of other unorthodox sexual orientations like for example, homosexuality.  We accept that it's a natural and entirely valid orientation - just because it doesn't conform to your conception of "normal" doesn't make it wrong, or sick.

Genetic sexual attraction (GSA) is a term that describes the phenomenon of sexual attraction between close relatives, such as siblings, first and second cousins or a parent and offspring, who first meet as adults.

If it doesnt hurt anyone then it should be okay.

That's right.  If someone wants to bugger their mum, it doesn't affect you at all.  And if someone wanted to have their love for their dad recognised by marrying them, it's none of your business.  So what if people are allowed to marry their parents or siblings?  Nobody is forcing you to marry yours.

PP, not many girls have crushes on their fathers. Perhaps they choose partners who remind them of their dads.

Like Plath's poem 'Daddy'

I made a model of you,
A man in black with a Meinkampf look

And a love of the rack and the screw.
And I said I do, I do.

It may not manifest visibly for everyone, I was just using that as an example. But to a certain extent our idea of attraction probably comes a lot from watching our parent/s.

No of course not, people are free to do what they want so long as it doesn't hurt others. You could argue that the offspring are definitely being hurt tho.

Offspring?  Who's to say they'll proudce children?  And if they do, it would be wonderful for them to have extra family around.  They don't have to get separate birthday or christmas presents for dad and grandpa, because dad IS grandpa!

I don't really want to get into the politics but its not like the kid has a choice if he comes into life with 15 fingers or whatever.
Maybe there should be a law for extreme cases for example where a incest couple had multiple children after the first few all had mutations or something.

Good to see you concur, Honky. There is a clear racial trajectory here. If people are genetically attracted to their families, they must also be attracted to their race as well - along with their class, nationality, religion, etc, etc, etc.

Ultimately, however, people are attracted to themselves.

The question then is why are these people automatically stigmatized as "sickos" when they are simply acting in accordance with their hard-wired sexual orientation?

Which implies that it is genetic.

Why would I need to make up my mind?  It is not important to me, hence the question "does it matter...."

It is illegal to have incest for that very reason. The likelihood of children. Now in this age we have birth control. Still I feel a bit like abbott when I said that ppl cant be trusted to do the right thing.

With yourself, of course. First race, then families, the evolution of humankind is steering us in a smooth path towards autophilia.
