Come on guys, do some of the lifting, I am still waiting to be convinced you know something that I have not been privy to, stop holding out.
What do you guys KNOW, (I am using that in the literal sense, so, "he looked like he was lying", or stuff like that won't past muster) about what has been proven about Thompson, that you are not telling, because I am still waiting to see the evidence.

Well, like in real life, you have to make a judgement call on what is garbage and what is worth your time. This gets you through the day without getting information overload and wasting valuable time that is in short supply.

I just so happened to skip that part of your thread because of the lead up, went into my sifting garbage mode. Quick scan, no thought needed about the content, except if you knew or cared there was a hidden message.

precisely we know whats coming same old attack attack even when its shift attack at all costs

and mozz has the hide to call righties boring a dull.

funny how though they support him.. they dont have any evidence for that yet they demand evidence from anyone that just doesnt happen to believe him..

to my kind anyone that has at least one investigation into their behavior in this case more than ONE INVESTIGATION.

has to say there is something rotton in the state of demark.otherwise why look.. and why look for 3.5. years.??

thats all I am saying.

I wonder if these guys would give Milat the benefit of the doubt..??????

Everyone is entitled to the presumption of innocence - in serious violent cases the accused is held till it is determined.

She was paid 60k for that declaration. Im sure its legit.

Thomson may have already done stat decs. I expect he has but the media doesnt show us everything . Especially where his defense is concerned.

Thomson has been caught out telling to many fibs, i don't think he would of made any statutory declaration.
Like his defamation case, came out telling us the News paper settled and paid him when it was him who had to pay out their legal costs because he didn't have a leg to stand on.

You going the "mole on upper right-hand side of scrotum" angle Maqqa.
Maybe Tone will demand he drop his pants when the house next sits.

If they had 6 votes or so, this wouldn't even be an issue for Labor - he would have been stood aside in a heartbeat.

Gillard needs Thomson and is willing to weather the political controversy that results from this whole saga. Short term it may keep her in power till the next election, but long term the labor brand is so tarnished it will take several years to build that trust with the voters back up again.

Read my comment again - it was inclusive!!!

Second - the scrutiny on Thommo would be even more if these markings are identified. So it's up to Thommo to disprove it to ease the pressure

Therefore it's it's actually not in Abbott's interest to make the demand

He HAS been stood aside, very early on he stood down as Chair of the Economic Committee and he's now been suspended from the Party and is excluded from the Caucus

You do realise that there is actually NOTHING else that Gillard can do to him - he's not elected to Parliament on her say so - She is the PM on his ...

Another LIE - Thomson did not have to pay anyone's legal costs other than his own.  He declined to proceed with the defamation case - there has been no award of costs against him.

how can the courts award costs when he settled out of court to pay the costs?

There was no settlement on costs - either way

Just because you say it doesn't make it true

Everyone is entitled to the presumption of innocence - in serious violent cases the accused is held till it is determined.

and her is the rub that you seem not to understand. Milat was considered innocent under the law until found guilty. That didnt stop the police or the magistrates from treating him as a guilty man. He was JAILED upon arrest. He was made to pay a very severe pentaly while still technically innocent. And why did that happen? BECAUSE HIS GUILT WAS OBVIOUS. the court was there simply to confirm that obvious truth.

The same is true of Thomson. Technically innocent, it does not mean his innocence is an assumption that he can parade and play on. It is never as simple as it sounds.
