US keeps operating in ’blame Russia for everything’ mode

22 Sep, 2016

The Obama administration knows what it is doing in the rhetoric war with Russia, says retired US Air Force Colonel Karen Kwiatkowski. And yet they do not have any idea what they are doing on the ground in Syria, she added.

After an air attack which destroyed 18 of 31 trucks in a humanitarian aid convoy near Aleppo on Monday, UN has suspended all aid deliveries in Syria.

Twenty civilians are reported killed, a senior local official of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent among them.

Benoit Matsha-Carpentier of the International Red Cross confirmed to RT that a director of “a sub-branch in Aleppo” was among the victims.

“We have very diverse information and it is still quite difficult to get a full picture of the situation. Very tragically, once again we have volunteers and staff from this year in the Red Crescent who has been attacked. We only have confirmation that one of them died on Monday,” he said. The identities of “several people” who have allegedly been killed in the attack on the aid convoy are not known yet, the official said.

“For us, the priority is safety and protection of our volunteers and staff on the ground. And that is why we are calling on all parties in the conflict to make sure that they are protected and they can provide safely assistance for those in need. Not reaching areas like Aleppo will obviously affect the population on the ground. It had been quite a while since a convoy has been able to enter,” Matsha-Carpentier told RT.

US State Department spokesman John Kirby said the US was “outraged” at the attack, adding that “the destination of this convoy was known to the Syrian regime and the Russian Federation and yet these aid workers were killed in their attempt to provide relief to the Syrian people.”

“The United States will raise this issue directly with Russia. Given the egregious violation of the Cessation of Hostilities we will reassess the future prospects for cooperation with Russia,” Kirby said.

According to retired US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Karen Kwiatkowski, Russia is the first the State Department and the Pentagon blame for “just about everything.”

“That is the mode that we have been operating in for the last couple of years. We’ve seen it in a different number of areas,” she told RT.

One thing that could raise questions regarding that accusation is that “a convoy as a target is something that is kind of obvious,” she said.

“It is unlikely that it was an accident; whoever took it out was intending to take out the convoy of aid.”

These accusations came just a day before the UN General Assembly session and Syria is expected to be one of the topics high on the agenda at the gathering.

“The position of blaming Russia will be a continuation of what we have seen in the past weeks,”
she said. “It looks like the rhetoric war. It is very clear that the Obama administration knows what it is doing in the rhetoric war and yet they do not have any idea what they are doing on the ground in Syria,” Kwiatkowski added.

On Saturday, the US coalition carried out airstrikes on the Syrian Army near the eastern city of Deir ez-Zor on Saturday, which resulting in the death of more than 60 soldiers.

USA has no credibility in Syria or in the Middle East in general.

USA's intervention and policies has brought only chaos, war and death to the Middle East.

There is no doubt that USA fomented, armed and financed the 'insurgency' in Syria for political reasons including regime change.

The war is becoming a very dangerous place as conflict and disharmony is being fomented with Russia and China while conflicts rage around the world.

There has never been a more dangerous period to world peace since the 1960s USA-Russia nuclear confrontation over Cuba.

In fact the USA is now doing to states neighboring Russia what it objected to Russia doing in Cuba, installing missile systems.

False Flag? US-NATO-Rebel Coalition Appear to Have Fabricated UN Convoy Evidence

September 21, 2016

Washington’s Meaningless Confidence

On September 19, someone attacked a convoy of trucks delivering aid to a rebel-held area of Aleppo. Anti-government activists were emphatic the helicopters [were] dropping barrel bombs, followed by fighter jet strikes, which also used cluster bombs and-or machine gunned the area, keeping rebel help at bay so more witnesses would bleed to death.

A video seems to be consistent with that (see below), but it’s really not clear at all. Images showed trucks damaged by small-scale shrapnel (and/or bullets?) and gutted by fire – analysis of imagery and reports is well underway at A Closer Look On Syria. We’re still far from a clear reading, but from minute one the US has been quite clear the activist version was about right. An unnamed official told the Washington Post:

“We know it was an airstrike and not one from the coalition. We don’t know if it was Russia or the regime,” the only others flying over Syria, a senior administration official said. “In either case, the Russians have a responsibility certainly to avoid doing it themselves, but also to keep restraint on the regime.”

We know this? It’s not explained how. It sounds like the model of aircraft isn’t known, nor whose they were, just that they were present, in the air, and not ours. But another unnamed official said “two Russian SU-24 attack aircraft were in the sky above the convoy at the precise moment it was hit in Urum al-Kubra.” (BBC) This sounds like a radar finding, but it could be just empty words also. The official also noted the strike “was too sophisticated to have been carried out by the Syrian army.” Is it really excess sophistication? Or just that they just want to blame Russia specifically at this time?

More here:  http://21stcenturywire.com/2016/09/21/false-flag-us-nato-and-rebel-coalition-app...

The lauded “White Helmets” were involved and cited as one source convincing the US there was an “airstrike”. But they don’t seem to save anyone here, that we see. They have explanations why. The SARC, by the way, are non-Islamist “competitors” to the White helmets, and maintain relations with the Syrian government (to some, they’re “agents of the regime.”)

But the terrorists and their supporters were clear it was a jet/helicopter/both, from Russia or Syria or both/whatever/not us. Uh-huh. Hell, they could have just raided the place, robbed and executed the aid workers, torched the trucks, and lobbed a few shells on it afterwards. Hypothetically. We’re still waiting to hear survivor stories, from verified witnesses, allowed to speak (unlikely). And besides, all of them   would pass through White Helmets hands first. Incriminating videos could be deleted from their phones, etc.

Lavrov-Kerry Talks: 'Diplomatic Dancing on Syrian Minefield'

23.09.2016

As top diplomats from Russia and the US are set to meet again on Friday for further Syria ceasefire talks, experts analyze the prospects of a cessation of hostilities in the country and what a bilateral agreement between Sergei Lavrov and John Kerry might entail.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry intend to meet again on Friday to discuss a cessation of hostilities in Syria.

Following the second meeting of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG) on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly on Thursday, Sergei Lavrov noted that its major outcome is that the sides have agreed to continue working on ceasefire in Syria. Russia's top diplomat however noted that the armed opposition must reciprocate Syrian government peace efforts and not let terrorists benefit from the stalled ceasefire.

"Some of our partners made attempts to force the Syrian government to undertake unilateral steps. We insist, and are being supported in this, that the opposition should make reciprocate steps," Sergei Lavrov told journalists after the meeting.

"They should do it to prevent ISIS (Daesh) and Al-Nusra to exploit lack of ceasefire in Syria. I think we have such common understanding but the details are still needed to be worked out," he added.

Meanwhile, the US Secretary of State also made a statement after the meeting where he claimed that he and his team "have exchanged ideas with the Russians and plan to consult on Friday with respect to those ideas."

The Washington's foreign policy on Syria seems to look like "if the Russians come back to us with constructive proposals, we will listen."

"If Russia demonstrates that it is serious, we will work with the opposition to reciprocate and to pull back from this cycle of escalation, because the opposition also has a responsibility to observe the cessation of hostilities if the government does and to disassociate from al-Nusra."

In his statement however John Kerry attempted once again to push for what amounts to a 'no-fly zone' — the grounding of all Russian and Syrian aircraft.

"The only way to achieve that [cessation of hostilities and violence] is if the ones who have the air power in this part of the conflict simply stop using it – not for one day or two, but for as long as possible so that everyone can see that they are serious."

Commenting on the above push, Jim Jatras, a former US diplomat and foreign policy adviser to the Senate GOP leadership called it opportunism.

He referred to Kerry's words that “we all agree that ISIS (Daesh) and Al-Qaeda are our common enemy.”

"How does grounding the Syrian Air Force and Russian Air Force…defeat ISIS, defeat Al-Qaeda? It doesn’t. In effect, they would be the beneficiaries of these policies," Jatras said in his interview with RT.

The former diplomat also commented on the recent attack of the humanitarian convoy in Syria.

"This is the kind of thing we’ve seen so many times before, not only in Syria but in Bosnia, in Kosovo, Libya and other places," he told RT. "Something happens and within minutes Western officials are saying “this is who is at fault, here is what happened, and here is the blame for it.” And then only afterwards, "after all the headlines have gone around the world about responsibility, do we hear any argument about what the details are, what might or might have not happened. And those will be on page 19 somewhere," he added.

The former diplomat also referred to the major operation of the Syrian army against terrorists in the eastern outskirts of Aleppo, which it announced on Thursday.

"Let’s be clear: Right now, the Obama administration has one priority and that is to stop eastern Aleppo from falling to Syrian government forces," he said.

Strategically, he explained, if the jihad terrorists lose eastern Aleppo, this war is over. The fighting may go on for a while, but that will be "the tipping point in terms of who is going to win. "

"They can dance around any way they want, but the bottom line is always going to be to try and stop the Syrian and Russian forces from decimating these jihadists and changing the outcome," he stated.

With regards to the Friday meeting of Russia's and US top diplomats, Jatras noted that while Lavrov and Kerry "may seem to agree on various details, in terms of where the two countries want to go in Syria they are poles apart."

"The bottom line for the Obama administration is regime change, which means a jihadist victory in Syria, and that is the rabbit they are constantly trying to pull out of the hat," he said.

"I don’t know why the Russian side keeps talking to them as though they have common goals and interests, when in fact they don’t. They are dealing with ideologues here who are dancing to the tune called by the Saudis and other supporters of radical Islamic forces, and they’ve got to stop entertaining that they can somehow make a deal on this… There are no real moderates. They are all Wahhabists, they’re all terrorists, they’re all jihadists," he finally stated.

While the results of the meeting are still remain to be seen, political analyst Elena Suponina also suggested that it will be hard to avoid new incidents as the two countries "hold talks on the minefield. And this field is called Syria."

Making a Killing

Published on Jul 27, 2016

Central and Eastern European governments have directed an unprecedented flow of weapons and ammunition to four key backers of Syria’s armed opposition since the escalation of the bloody civil war in 2012.

A yearlong investigation by the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) and the Organized Crime and

Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) reveal for the first time the emergence of an € 1.2 billion arms pipeline fueling conflict in the Middle East, causing untold human suffering.

It is a trade that is almost certainly illegal, experts say.

US wants to distract attention from coalition strike on Syria troops – Lavrov

26 Sep, 2016

The US and its Western partners are trying to steer the world’s attention away from their airstrikes on the Syrian Army by accusing Russia of attacking a UN humanitarian convoy outside the Aleppo, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told Russian television.

“I would like to emphasize that the Americans and their Western allies, for one thing, want to distract public attention from what had happened in Deir-az-Zor,” Lavrov told NTV on Monday following the urgent meeting of the UN Security Council.

“When the humanitarian convoy was hit [outside Aleppo], we demanded that an investigation be conducted. [US Secretary of State] John Kerry, a good partner of mine, behaved the way he never has done previously."

"He claimed that the investigation might take place, but they know who did it, namely the Syrian Army or Russia, and that it was Russia's fault in any case,”
he said.

Kerry appeared to be “pinned down by stark criticism from the American military apparatus,” Lavrov noted, which may indicate that the US military does not comply with its commander-in-chief’s orders.

“[President] Barack Obama always supported, as I was told, cooperation with Russia, and he confirmed it himself during the meeting with [President] Vladimir Putin in China. It seems to me that the military may not be obeying their supreme commander too much.”

Lavrov went on by saying that Washington is trying to continue finger-pointing at Russia and hold it accountable for what is happening in Syria. Such approach is counterproductive and leaves Moscow wary of the US-led coalition’s actions, the FM said, adding that there is no room for “100 percent trust.”

In turn, Moscow will push for a detailed investigation into the attack on the humanitarian convoy, the minister said.

The US and the West are not coping with their obligations on combating the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), Lavrov said.

“It is clear that the West, led by the US which runs the anti-IS coalition and, as they put it, Al-Nusra Front in Syria, do not cope with their obligation.”

Ahrar Al-Sham plans to launch chemical attack on civilians, blame it on Syria govt – Syrian UN envoy

26 Sep, 2016

Militants from Ahrar Al-Sham, a hardline Islamist group, are planning to use white phosphorus in an attack on civilians to later blame it on Syrian armed forces, UN envoy Bashar Ja’afari told a UN Security Council emergency meeting on Sunday.

Speaking of the alleged upcoming provocation, Ja’afari mentioned the suspicious activity by American experts, who, he claimed, had visited one of the chemical munitions depots in the rebel-held town of Saraqib in the northwestern Idlib province. Upon examining the site, the experts departed Syria for Turkey, he claimed. the diplomat said at the meeting as cited by TASS.

To falsify the evidence and make their claims sound more credible, the militants plan to pose as Syrian army troops as they deploy the banned substance, Ja’afari said, adding that imposters are going to put on Syrian army uniforms and film the whole incident on camera. He did not elaborate on the source of the intelligence.

White phosphorus is an extremely poisonous toxic agent able to inflict severe burn injuries and is banned from use in civilian areas, according to international law. It is only legitimate to deploy the chemical to create a smokescreen, make signals, or markings for friendly troops. The US has repeatedly used this loophole to use white phosphorus during Middle Eastern campaigns while claiming the indiscriminate weapon is only used as a smokescreen for advancing troops. Most recently, US military deployed white phosphorus shells in Iraq, saying they were used to “obscure” Kurdish fighters’ offensive against Islamists.

For its part, Syria has been acting in full compliance with the UN Charter and international law on warfare, Ja’afari said, repelling accusations of alleged use of incendiary weapons by the Syrian forces.

“We condemn the statements of several UN representatives that we are using banned weapons or targeting the civilian population,” he said, pointing to the fact that the UN, at the same time, is turning a blind eye to the use of chemical weapons by rebels.

In March, Islamist militants of the Ahrar Al group along with a string of other armed opposition groups were accused by shelling the predominantly Kurdish Sheikh Maqsood neighborhood of Aleppo with yellow phosphorus by Kurdish YPG fighters.

Ahrar Al-Sham also committed a bulk of violations that contributed the ceasefire failure in Syria, according to the Russian military. The group, which is believed to be allied with Al-Nusra Front, has rejected the latest ceasefire, but is still not officially recognized as terrorist by US-led coalition despite Russia’s repeated requests.

“Not long ago, the Americans at last sent us a list of organizations which they consider to be part of the ceasefire and which should not be targeted. In one of the first positions there is Ahrar al-Sham,”
Russian FM Sergey Lavrov said in interview to Sputnik earlier in September, adding that it “seems the Americans are listing a part of a terrorist structure, which is recognized as such by the UN, as an organization loyal to them.”

While the meeting was focused on the escalation of hostilities in Aleppo, where the Syrian armed forces are conducting a large-scale anti-terror operation in the eastern part of the embattled city, the US, UK and French representatives have demonstratively walked out from the meeting before the Syrian envoy was about to give Syria’s government prospective on the issue.

In his turn, Ja’afari slammed the countries for disrupting the peace process in Syria by carrying out airstrikes at Syrian army positions.

“Several UN member states should stop lying to themselves and to the whole world,” he said.

Despite the repeated violations of the ceasefire by the rebels, Syria is ready to breathe life in the stalled intra-Syrian talks and renew the negotiations but only with those forces who are “genuine patriots of their country and not acting on orders from abroad and receive money there.”

The Syrian envoy pointed out that Syrian government take all possible measures to ensure the civilian population would not suffer from the offensive, asking them to keep away from terrorist positions. However, the militants “do not let the civilians leave Aleppo and use them as [human] shields,” the envoy said.

EXCLUSIVE: The REAL Syria Civil Defence Expose Nato’s ‘White Helmets’ as Terrorist-Linked Imposters

September 23, 2016

“I am a director not only of a Syrian Civil Defence Unit, but of brave human beings, volunteers who risk their lives, despite the terrorism that is invading Syria, to maintain security for Syria. I give thanks from my heart for the courage of my men who have lost their comrades in terrorist attacks but they keep working despite the risks. They are true soldiers, their equipment and their spirit are their only weapons”
~ Director of Tartous’ REAL Syria Civil Defence

Did I hear a pin drop?  The real Syria Civil Defence? Are the west’s iconized ‘White Helmets’ not the only emergency first-responders inside Syria?

For the REAL Syria Civil Defence you call 113 inside Syria.  There is no public number for the White Helmets.  Why not? Why does this multi-million dollar US & NATO state-funded first repsonder ‘NGO,’ with state of the art equipment supplied by the US and the EU via Turkey, have no central number for civilians to call when the “bombs fall”?

Before we introduce the real Syria Civil Defence, who are Syria’s real ICDO certified civil fire and rescue organisation, let’s first take a closer look at the imposters; terrorists in white hats, and agents of war – NATO’s pseudo ‘NGO’ construct, embedded exclusively in terrorist-held parts of Syria…

We’re told that the White Helmets routinely scale the walls of collapsed buildings and scrambling over smouldering rubble of bombed out buildings to dig a child out with their bare hands. Of course, never without a sizeable camera crew and mobile phone carrying entourage in tow.

So who, and what exactly are the White Helmets?

“Founded in 2013, the White Helmets, officially called the Syria Civil Defense, are often the only emergency first-responders available in rebel-held areas of Syria and claim to have saved more than 58,000 lives.” ~ The Slate

The western media mythology goes as follows:

“They are made up of former bakers, builders, taxi drivers, students, teachers, pretty much anything apart from rescue workers,” according to the much repeated phrase used by their British ex-military, USAR (Urban Search & Rescue) trainer, James Le Mesurier who specialises in outsourcing warfare – the kind of private security operations exemplified by the likes of Blackwater (now known as Academi) and DynCorp, and other well-known global suppliers of mercenaries and CIA outreach assassination experts.

“Running operations through Blackwater gave the CIA the power to have people abducted, or killed, with no one in the government being exactly responsible.” ~ The Atlantic, 2012

White Helmets founder Le Mesurier, who graduated from Britain’s elite Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst, is said to be an ‘ex’ British military intelligence officer involved in a number of other NATO ‘humanitarian intervention’ theatres of war, including Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq, as well as postings in Lebanon and Palestine. He also boasts a series of high-profile posts at the UN, EU, and UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Not to mention his connections back to the infamous Blackwater (Academi).

The White Helmet network showing primary funding sources and James Le Mesurier connections back to deep state  (Image: UK Column) go to the link for image

The streaming giant, Netflix, recently launched the documentary meant to elevate the White Helmets to a Hollywood level of Madison Avenue-styled demagoguery. As an interesting aside: a major shareholder in Netflix just happens to be the Capital Research Global Investors who hosts a number luminaries of the military industrial complex on its books including Lockheed Martin and Boeing. In 2015, George Soros, billionaire, criminal hedge-fund manager, bought up 317,534 shares in Netflix said to be worth $32.79m.  Curiously in 2016 Soros, dissolved those shares.

For further information on the George Soros role as the anti-Syria NGO impresario read 21WIRE article: George Soros: Anti-Syria Campaign Impresario @ http://21stcenturywire.com/2016/04/22/george-soros-anti-syria-campaign-impresari...

The REAL Syria Civil Defence

Let us now focus upon the very real heroes inside Syria, the real Syria Civil Defence that have been usurped by the NATO mountebank White Helmets who also call themselves the “Syria Civil Defence” – a mere simulacra of the REAL Syria Civil Defence who have been saving lives in Syria, and further afield for decades.

The REAL Syria Civil Defence was established as an organisation, in 1953, some 63 years before the White Helmets were a glimmer in the eyes of CIA and MI6 operatives.

The REAL Syria Civil Defence is a founding member of the ICDO (International Civil Defence Organisation). Other ICDO partners include the UN Department of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Secretarian of the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR), International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG), World Health Organisation (WHO), United Nations of Geneva (UNOG), Red Cross and the Red Crescent.

I have seen and heard enough on news to wonder what the Fook you lot think you are doing posting this propaganda ...............

To excuse the actions of the Assad regime and Russia in bombing civilians in Aleppo as some sort of plot by the US and the UN is absurd, disgusting and utterly inexcusable.

There is no doubt what is happening there. None whatsoever.!!

Assad is doing everything he can to destroy all opposition to his power, aided by Russia, and there is no EXCUSE, Assad continues the regime of genocide against his own citizens, following on from his father. It is a human disaster, and should not be supported BY ANYONE.

Assad and PUTIN ( Russia ) are guilty of the worst actions against innocent people, under some sort of BS propaganda about IS. They are using this as a means to wipe out all dissension by the people of Syria against this torturous and terrorist Assad regime.

jmjcare is a criminal by excusing this by all manner of conspiracy theories, when what is happening is CLEAR to anyone with the eyes to see, and the wit to see just what is happening in Syria.

YOU disgust me, jmjcare..... and the sooner Assad is brought down the better. With Putin using his power to add to the decimation of any dissent against Assad, it looks like the slaughter of innocent men women and children will continue.
These airstrikes are crimes against humanity.
Everyone in the world should stand up and say  GET OUT OF SYRIA.  DO TO ASSAD WHAT NEEDS DOING, for the sake of humanity, and the children of Syria.  Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

Americans are on our side: Nusra commander

Sep 27, 2016

A commander of the Takfiri al-Nusra Front, which recently renamed itself, has reportedly said the United States is supporting the group.

“The Americans are on our side,” said the commander, identified only as Abu al-Ezz, in an interview with German-language daily Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, RT reported Monday.

He said al-Nusra — now called Jabhat Fateh al-Sham — has been receiving funding from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait, and has obtained tanks and artillery from Libya via Turkey as well.

Al-Ezz further praised the delivery to the group of US-supplied TOW anti-tank missiles, saying, “The missiles were given directly to us. They were delivered to a certain group.”

Also on Monday, Syrian Parliament Speaker Hadiya Khalaf Abbas said Washington was siding with Daesh and other militant outfits operating inside the violence-wracked Arab country.

She said the Damascus government is in possession of documents that prove Americans launched the September 17 airstrikes against a Syrian military air base in the eastern province of Dayr al-Zawr in a bid to assist Daesh terrorists.

The US military has claimed that the attack, which killed over 80 Syrian soldiers and paved the way for Daesh to advance on the ground, was a mistake.

Meanwhile, US State Department spokesman Mark Toner has categorically dismissed al-Ezz’s remark that Washington is providing Jabhat Fateh al-Sham militants with aid, admitting, however, that US allies in the Middle East region may be arming the Takfiris.

“That’s complete poppycock. Whatever he’s saying, no. We would never provide Nusra with any kind of assistance at all,” Toner said.

Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011. Over the past few months, the Takfiri militants active in the Arab country have suffered major setbacks as the Syrian army has managed to liberate several areas.

According to an estimate by UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, more than 400,000 people have been killed in the conflict in Syria. The UN no more provides an official death toll from the Syrian conflict.
