Putin: Russia, Turkey call for urgent end to bloodshed in Syria

10 Oct, 2016

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan have urged a swift end to the bloodshed in war-torn Syria, following talks between the two leaders in Istanbul on Monday.

“Both Russia and Turkey stand for the earliest cessation of bloodshed in Syria. In Russia we think that the switch to a political settlement must happen as soon as possible. We suppose that everybody, who wants peace, should support this proposal,” Putin said.

According to Putin, both Moscow and Ankara backed the proposal of UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, regarding the removal of militants from Aleppo.

“Together with the Turkish president we agreed to do everything to support de Mistura’s initiative on the withdrawal of military units, which refuse to lay down their arms, from Aleppo in order to end violence,” he said.

The Russian president said that he and Erdogan had agreed to strengthen contact between the countries’ militaries and intelligence agencies.

He added that Moscow is ready to develop large-scale military-technical cooperation with Ankara and the sides are now studying various projects.

The Turkish military operation in Syria and ways to cooperate in providing aid to civilians in the city of Aleppo were discussed during the talks in Istanbul on Monday, Erdogan said.

The Russian and Turkish militaries, as well as intelligence services and diplomats from the two countries, will continue to work together on the provision of humanitarian aid in Syria, he added.

“We thoroughly discussed the Syrian issue. We talked about the [Turkish] Euphrates Shield operation and evaluated ways we can cooperate in this direction. We specifically talked about what strategy we may choose in order to help, from a humanitarian point of view, the inhabitants who are in a dire situation, especially in Aleppo,” Erdogan said.

“We have a common stance [with Turkey] regarding what must be done to deliver humanitarian aid to Aleppo. The issue is ensuring security for the deliveries of this cargo,” Putin said.

During the talks, the two leaders agreed to “speed up the work” on construction of such vital joint projects as the Turkish Stream gas pipeline and the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, the Turkish president said.

Before the two leaders addressed the media, an intergovernmental agreement on the Turkish Stream pipeline was signed in their presence.

Regarding the signing of the Turkish Stream pipeline deal, Putin said that Moscow and Ankara are moving forward with plans to create a major energy hub in Turkey.

Saudi Media: US Supplying Terrorists in Syria with New Missiles

Oct 10, 2016

TEHRAN (FNA)- The terrorist groups called by Washington as "moderate" militants have received two cargos of shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles in Northern Syria, a Saudi newspaper wrote on Monday.

"At least two cargos of shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles have been sent to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) group, supported by the US, in Northern Syria; the cargos were in fact dispatched by the MOM (the US-funded operations room near the Turkish town of Reyhanli)," Asharq al-Awsat newspaper quoted Charles Lester, a US analyst on Syrian issues, as saying.

Noting that the militants have already been equipped with Grad missiles with a range of 20km to 40km, he said that the new anti-aircraft missiles are aimed at creating a buffer zone in certain regions of Northern Syria.

A terrorist commander had told Reuters late September that foreign states have given Syrian militants surface-to-surface Grad rockets of a type not previously supplied to them.

The Grad rockets with a range of 22 km and 40 km have been supplied in "excellent quantities" and will be used on battlefronts in Aleppo, Hama and the coastal region, Fares al-Bayoush said.

While Grad missiles have previously been supplied to terrorists, Bayoush said it was the first time this particular type had been delivered. Each salvo contains 40 rockets, he said, without giving further details.

U S Caught Repainting Fighter Jets to RUSSIAN COLORS! False Flag Bombing Imminent!
https://youtu.be/9uhvN76duwU

The United States has been caught repainting several of their fighter jets in RUSSIAN Air Force Colors. Training? Or are they preparing to launch a horrific bombing inside Syria, then blaming it on the Russians as a precursor to US military action inside Syria?

Remember history: On April 15, 1961, a group of Cuban exiles took off from Nicaragua in a squadron of American B-26 bombers, painted to look like stolen Cuban planes, and conducted a strike against Cuban airfields. So we have known for decades that the US federal Government is full of snakes and vipers. Don't put anything past these filth.

By repainting these fighter jets, they can send them out on bombing missions, make certain they fly low and slow around a target a few times so people on the ground whip out their cellphone cameras to video the attack, bomb the hell out of something and then sit back as all the civilian videos come out on social media showing a "Russian" plane committing the act! The perfect set up.

Now that we're revealing this, look for someone to come out and claim it is for something like "training" but who needs to repaint planes for training? We have all sorts of electronics to Identify Friend-Foe (IFF). This enables us to fight at night, in bad weather . . . . zero visibility. So why repaint a plane for "training?"

Further, it isn't only ONE plane the US is repainting; it's quite a few!

Russian Government Officials Told To Immediately Bring Back Children Studying Abroad

Oct 12, 2016

In Europe, when it gets serious, you have to lie... at least if you are an unelected bureaucrat like Jean-Claude Juncker. In Russia, however, when it gets serious, attention immediately turns to the children.

Which is why we read a report in Russian website Znak published Tuesday, according to which Russian state officials and government workers were told to bring back their children studying abroad immediately, even if means cutting their education short and not waiting until the end of the school year, and re-enroll them in Russian schools, with some concern. The article adds that if the parents of these same officials also live abroad "for some reason", and have not lost their Russian citizenship, should also be returned to the motherland. Znak cited five administration officials as the source of the report.

The "recommendation" applies to all: from the administration staff, to regional administratiors, to lawmakers of all levels. Employees of public corporations are also subject to the ordinance. One of the sources said that anyone who fails to act, will find such non-compliance to be a "complicating factor in the furtherance of their public sector career." He added that he was aware of several such cases in recent months.

It appears that the underlying reason behind the command is that the Russian government is concerned about the optics of having children of the Russian political elite being educated abroad, while their parents appear on television talking about patriotism and being "surrounded by enemies."

While we doubt the impacted children will be happy by this development, some of the more patriotic locals, if unimpacted, are delighted. Such as Vitaly Ivanov, a political scientist who believes that the measure to return children of officials from studying abroad, is "long overdue." According Ivanoc, the education of children of the Russian elite abroad is subject to constant ridicule and derision against the ruling regime. "People note the hypocrisy of having a centralized state and cultivating patriotism and anti-Western sentiment, while children of government workers study abroad. You can not serve two gods, one must choose."

On the other hand, political analyst Stanislav Belkovsky quoted by Znak, believes that such decisions should be approached with more pragmatism. Such a recommendation is more likely to lead to an outflow of officials from the state, rather than allow the return of the children studying at elite foreign universities. He also warned of attempts to recreate an echo chamber such as that experienced after the failed July coup attempt on Turkey's President Erdogan.

But what he said next was more disturbing: "On the one hand, this is all part of a package of measures to prepare the elites for some 'big war' even if it is rather conditional, on the other hand - this is another blow to the unity of President Putin with his own elite" Belkovsky said. He adds that the Western sanctions launcedh in March 2014, had sought to drive a wedge between Putin and elites. In response, the Kremlin began to act precisely according to the logic of these sanctions. "But while a ban for having assets in the West is one thing, and understanable, when it comes to a ban for offshore health and education services, the blowback will be far greater, as it represents a far more important element of the establishment's life strategy."

Ultimately the motivation behind Putin's decision is unclear: whether it is to show Russia's high-ranking oligarchs who is boss, to boost a sense of patriotism among the nation by sending a symbolic message that the west is no longer a welcome destination for Russia's rich kids, or just a preemptive move of repatriating of any individuals affiliated with Russian politics for other unknown reasons; however it underscores the severity of the ongoing diplomatic crisis and just how significant the upcoming isolation between Russia and the West is likely to become in the coming months - unless of course tensions deescalate dramatically in the very near future - resulting in even greater collapse in global commerce and a further slowdown to world economic growth, which may ultimately lead to an armed conflict, whether regional or global, as the only possible outcome.

The Debate – Syria Crisis Meeting

Published on Oct 14, 2016

A few weeks after the collapse of a ceasefire, & among American & French warnings to Russia of apparent war crimes, Russia, the US, & others involved in Syria are to sit down in Switzerland. Russia wants everyone to stick by UNSC Resolutions, which it claims will lay out in a step-by-step process. At the least, everyone wants another humanitarian pause. As Syria works to liberate all of Aleppo, a victory President Assad says will be a springboard for other liberations, can the political process move forward while the West insists on arming militants to change the balance of power on the ground? That & more in this debate.

All those rebel groups, ISIS, Al Qaeda and the splintered groups are all children of the US of A.

George Bush gave birth to terrorism, terrorist and the war on terror, after the fall of the USSR they still had to have another enemy to continue some war any war that expends armaments for ever and a day.

Aleppo: 2,000 Militants Ready to Surrender to Syrian Gov't

Oct 15, 2016

TEHRAN (FNA)- Local sources in Aleppo said on Saturday that some 2,000 militants have declared readiness to end fight against the government after rising public protests against the presence of Jeish al-Fatah terrorists in the Eastern districts of the city.

"In an unprecedented move, a least 2,000 militants have contacted their families and announced their readiness to lay down arms and join the peace plan in Aleppo city," Arabic-language al-Watan reported on Saturday, quoting militants' relatives and family members.

"In the meantime, renowned figures and tribal leaders in Aleppo districts have formed local committees to identify those militants who want to join the peace agreement to introduce them to the national reconciliation committees," al-Watan said, adding, "Popular protests against militancy and the Syrian government forces' advances have caused a rising despair among the militants and a recent growth in their surrender to the government forces."

"A large number of militants in Seif al-Dowleh, Salahuddin, Bostan al-Pasha, Karam al-Jabal, Bostasn al-Qasr have laid down arms and surrendered to the authorities," the Syrian paper added.

Meantime, Syrian military planes dropped thousands of surrender-now leaflets over militant-held districts in Aleppo on Saturday.

Commander of the operations’ department at the Russian General Staff Lieutenant General Sergey Rodskoy said on Thursday that his country's army is ready to ensure a safe exit for gunmen and civilians who want to leave the Eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo.

In a statement, Rodskoy said that the West ignores the use of civilians as human shields by the armed groups in Syria and continue to launch a media campaign against Russia by accusing it of bombing Aleppo randomly.

He pointed out that Russia was ready to help in the operation of delivering humanitarian aid to the Eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo, stressing the need for guarantees on the part of the gunmen who are there in order to avoid a repeat of the attack on an aid convoy in Oram al-Kubra to the West of Aleppo on September 19.

An official source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said that the government, due to its keenness on the lives of the citizens living in Eastern Aleppo, expressed full readiness to ensure the safety of those who wanted to leave the area.

The source added that the Syrian government also would guarantee the safety of gunmen who wanted to leave the area to settle their legal status or to head to other areas for normal life to return to Eastern Aleppo and the state service institutions to resume work to meet the needs of the citizens who want to stay in Eastern Aleppo.

US, Saudis to grant 9,000 ISIS fighters free passage from Iraqi Mosul to Syria – source

13 Oct, 2016

The US and Saudi Arabia have agreed to grant free passage to thousands of Islamic State militants before the Iraqi city of Mosul is stormed. The jihadists will be redeployed to fight against the government in Syria, a military-diplomatic source told RIA Novosti.

"More than 9,000 Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS, ISIL) militants will be redeployed from Mosul to the eastern regions of Syria to carry out a major offensive operation, which involves capturing Deir ez-Zor and Palmyra,” the source said.

According to the anonymous diplomatic source, US President Barack Obama has already sanctioned an operation to liberate Mosul, due to take place in October.

During the storm of the city in northern Iraq the US-led coalition’s planes would only strike detached, vacated or uninhabited buildings, while keeping terrorists as targets, he said.

In September, US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter confirmed that Washington would send an additional 600 troops to Iraq to help liberate Mosul at the request of the local authorities.

The source suggested that redeployment of IS militants is necessary because “Washington must somehow counter Russia’s achievements in Syria, try to diminish their importance.”

"Apart from the purely political dividends, the other purpose of this operation, obviously, will be to discredit the success of Russian Airspace forces. And, of course, it’s an attempt to undermine Syrian President (Bashar) Assad,” he said.

The leadership of Saudi Arabia’s General Intelligence Directorate will be the mediators and guarantors of the agreement on safe passage for the jihadists from Mosul, he claimed.

The source added that a similar scheme had been used by the US and its allies during the liberation of the Iraqi city of Fallujah.

Damascus has accused Washington for coordinating with IS after an airstrike against the Syrian government troops near the city of Deir ez-Zor on September 17. Washington said that the bombing, in which 83 soldiers were killed and over 100 injured, was a mistake.

Commander: Iraqi Popular Forces Not to Allow ISIL to Flee Mosul to Syria

Oct 15, 2016

TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior commander of the Iraqi popular forces stressed his forces resolve to block the escape path of ISIL terrorists from Mosul to Syria.

"Our forces will not allow the ISIL militants to flee to Syria and we have gathered precise intelligence about the enemy before starting the Mosul liberation operation," Ahmad al-Assadi, also the spokesman of the popular forces and an Iraqi legislator, said in a statement on Saturday.

He also rejected media reports on the Iraqi army's agreement with the ISIL to leave Mosul, and said, "There is no deal and the ISIL militants in Nineveh will by crushed in the Mosul battle."

His remarks came as reports said that the US is hindering Iraq's operations in Mosul to provide the ISIL terrorists with an opportunity to flee to Raqqa in Syria.

Barack Obama's strategy to fight the ISIL in Iraq and Syria has been criticized by different analysts and politicians, even by Donald Trump.

Trump has often questioned why the United States feels the need to tell the world its military strategies.

"They think a lot of the ISIL leaders are in Mosul. We have announcements coming out of Washington and coming out of Iraq: "We will be attacking Mosul in three weeks or four weeks." All of these bad leaders from ISIL are leaving Mosul," Trump said. "Why can't they do it quietly? Why can't they make it a sneak attack? And after the attack is made, inform the American public that we've knocked out their leaders."

An Iraqi Kurdish media official said early this month that ISIL's top commanders, including its leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, have started fleeing Mosul for Syria, adding that as the terrorist group's leader has ordered militants to destroy the city if defeated and forced to withdraw.

"The ISIL commanders, including al-Baghdadi, are escaping Mosul to Syria," Iraqi Kurdistan Democrat Party's media director Saeed Mamouziti said.

He said that al-Baghdadi has also ordered his followers to completely destroy Mosul if they are defeated in the war against Iraq's joint military forces.

Later Mamouziti said that the ISIL militants are fleeing the city since a long-awaited large-scale operation aimed at freeing the second largest city in the country is expected to be launched in the coming days.
