I like the comment that Abbott appears to be so negative because 'the government gives him so much material to work with"!!

classic!

This government is the next best thing to useless but that doesn't mean I'll ever vote for any party led by Tony Abbott.
I do agree though..this government hands present after present to the opposition and Abbott would be foolish not to take every advantage of it.

Even some Labor heavy-weights have started to try and tell Gillard that her problem isnt Abbott being negative - as that is actually his job. Her problem is that she screws everything up so badly.

It doesn't seem to bother you that the Australian peoples Government has been hijacked by a hereditary interbred upperclass who have illegally stolen all of their assets and are levying illegal class based taxes against the common people and demanding rewards and dividends from their productivity.

It is breathtaking to see that while a lefty (adel) admits a Labor government is bad - due to personality - they will not vote for the LIBs

This is stupidity of the grandest scale. This is why we got ourselves into trouble in the first place.

No wonder the marketing people spends so much money to influence our decisions eg McDonalds, Coke, KFC etc. They know there are plenty of Australians out there who will make irrational emotive decisions rather than logical decisions

However bad Labor may or may not be, Liberals are far, FAR worse. All we've had from them for years now is relentless negativity, opportunism and a hunger for power. Zero policies or anything of any substance. And all lead by someone who is clearly a meathead with all the style and statesmanship of a terrier in a chookhouse.

Why would anyone with half a working brain vote for them?

I would say it is way more stupid to be rusted on to one party no matter who the leader is or how poor their policies are.

I think you may need to consult a dictionary to get the definition of  "rusted on voter"

so might you do the same. 'rusted on' does not mean voting for the same party by nature of preference. It does however mean people who vote for the same party no matter HOW pathetic or scandal-affected is their party of choice. People who voted for Labor in NSW were only rusted-ons. no other explanation could explain voting for such a corrupt and incompetent mob some of whom were already in jail.

Yes, it is my opinion without facts backing it. Yours is your opinion, also without any facts backing it. So both are about of equal value then.

And mine is not based on loyalties... I have in the past voted for Labor, Liberal, Green, Democrat, independent. For instance, I know I voted against Keating. Twice! I definitely won't be voting Liberal the way it is at the moment though. That leaves me Labor, Greens or independent (if we get any in our electorate) to choose from.
