Even fellow Muslims are persecuted in Muslim countries, Shia by Sunnis and Sunnis by the Shia, (and that's just the two largest Muslim groupings at each other's throats.)

Islam is all about outward show - which is of course for the benefit of all the other Muslims watching.

So somebody said something. Not all countries with mostly muslims actually have islamic law though. There are the "trouble spots" we all know about but there are countries where it isnt a problem. Funnily enough the ones with the most violence and problems are the ones with western interference.

You forget one very important and salient fact: the Qur'an is the immutable word of allah. That means that any page in the Qur'an can be read in isolation and it makes perfect sense.
