There is a misconception held by many of us that sun is bad for us. No, exposure to sunlight when it is at its peak time is harmfull and one must make use of sunscreen or avoid altogether. But it is a natural source of Vitamin D which cannot be equally substituted by any artifical light source or medicines just as affectively. So once in a few days when the sun is not at its peak, one should go out and take it in:)
