I watched the PM on Q&A tonight, and I am pleased that she finally has seen fit to try and develop a more personal style of dialogue with the electorate.
I bemoan the fact that she is far less politically aggressive than I would like, and that she did not begin to try and develop this type of engagement a lot sooner.
When she used the example of the Mabo case, to highlight the disgusting, divisive fear mongering, engaged in by the Liberal Nationals coalition, she did so with understated dignity.
I would have loved to see her stick the boot in, like Keating would have.
The Libs are likely going to win on the false perception that they hold a high ground on moral issues, and before people blindly accept that, the immoral fear mongering, championed and spread with lies and misinformation, that they seem to take so much delight in, should be held up before all, and shown as the lowly behaviour that it really is.
Yes the understated dignity which our PM displayed last night was refreshing.
The 1st questioner was delicately put into her place, whining she gets nothing but admitting shes on an
income of over 150K.Tony tried to divert with stupid leadership & party room infighting but again was put in his place in a calm authoritative way.
She not backing away either with more reforms on the way, others may shirk but it seems she has adopted the "Die on your Feet" attitude & bloody good on her.
Abbott remains absent from any form of serious political program & is happy to have his ass kissed by the morning programs, as alluded too previously he avoids unscripted interviews like the plague.
Anyhoo just my 2 cents worth, if as our Liberal friends say the electorate has stopped listening they have nothing to worry about & we can look forward to having a gutless short sighted PM for at least 3 years.
I didn't watch it last night, but this type of idiocy is all too familiar from our loony left - stuff everyone who does well for themselves.
