What lies?

For one, she claimed that under Howard the TPV's "didn't make a difference", to use her exact words. All the evidence that is freely available to her points to the complete opposite.

Quote:
Yes, Miss Gillard did extremely well on Q&A and, yet again, campaigned very successfully for the soon to be returned Coalition.

you mean perhaps in 18 months they might get in? Not if abbott is still there.

SOB

They didn't, they just forced more women & children onto boats due to their restrictive nature.
Did you miss the answer?
Or don't you care that more women & children got onto boats to reunite with husbands & fathers?

As a father, I know that if I left my wife and kids back home while I go to Australia, it would only be because I was country shopping, not because I or they were in danger.

If I or they were in danger, we would all go.

What YOU may
THINK
you will do in that circumstance from the comfort & safety of your home in Australia, has absolutely no bearing on or for you argument that TPV's decreased migration through boats.
Try & stick to the topic.

whilst a very true statement it is just as unequivocably true that Howards Solution stopped the boats. If we want to be pedantic about truth then we cannot ignore the WHOLE STORY.

True but the questioner asked when TPV's would be reintroduced to "stop the boats".(I thought the funniest part was that she had a German accent so thick you could barely understand her, obviously high up in the Hitler Youth back in the day)
Progs stated that she lied in her answer

And on your footnote(offshore processing stops boats(not TPV's btw)) she responded that she tried but was overruled by the high court & parliament, which again is true.
Now I know you & others will immediately fire back deep concern for the welfare of these poor people in that iron fisted nation with a democratically elected government(do we call the leader of Malaysia PM or Furher, I always get mixed up)
but it's bullsh!t & everyone knows it is.
You, Tony & the rest of conservatives couldn't give a flying phark about these people's welfare, it's nothing more than politics.

if you want to pretend that Malaysia would be a great place for boat people then go ahead. But you've already had it discussed that the High Court threw out MALAYSIA - not offshore processing. And try not to make such blatant generalisations as your last line. It is offensive to most of us and you could hardly call the labor party especially kind to them.

I watched the PM on Q&A tonight, and I am pleased that she finally has seen fit to try and develop a more personal style of dialogue with the electorate.
I bemoan the fact that she is far less politically aggressive than I would like, and that she did not begin to try and develop this type of engagement a lot sooner.

When she used the example of the Mabo case, to highlight the disgusting, divisive fear mongering, engaged in by the Liberal Nationals coalition, she did so with understated dignity.
I would have loved to see her stick the boot in, like Keating would have.

The Libs are likely going to win on the false perception that they hold a high ground on moral issues, and before people blindly accept that, the immoral fear mongering, championed and spread with lies and misinformation, that they seem to take so much delight in, should be held up before all, and shown as the lowly behaviour that it really is.

Yes the understated dignity which our PM displayed last night was refreshing.

The 1st questioner was delicately put into her place, whining she gets nothing but admitting shes on an income of over 150K.
Tony tried to divert with stupid leadership & party room infighting but again was put in his place in a calm authoritative way.

She not backing away either with more reforms on the way, others may shirk but it seems she has adopted the "Die on your Feet" attitude & bloody good on her.

Abbott remains absent from any form of serious political program & is happy to have his ass kissed by the morning programs, as alluded too previously he avoids unscripted interviews like the plague.

Anyhoo just my 2 cents worth, if as our Liberal friends say the electorate has stopped listening they have nothing to worry about & we can look forward to having a gutless short sighted PM for at least 3 years.

I didn't watch it last night, but this type of idiocy is all too familiar from our loony left - stuff everyone who does well for themselves.

What that a person earning over 150K should be able to fend for themselves?

I would suggest that if you are earning over that & NEED handouts it is you who are the idiot.

Is it? Then maybe you can answer the question I posed in another thread because macca and AP and lolly have all drawn a blank:

How any person can look at that graph and claim the Pacific Solution was anything but a resounding success at stopping the boats is completely beyond my comprehension.

How did it stop the boats across the entire OECD?

Do you even understand the question?

what do you expect your graph to prove? nothing. the statement was that it stopped hte boats and pretty much NO ONE disagrees since it is an indisputable fact. Comprehension still tends to trip you up, dont it?

idiot.

Why should people earning that amount of money, or more, have to pay for those who are too lazy to go and get an education? Look at the carbon tax, for just one example of Labor's communism. Why take from the rich and middle, to give to the working, poor and dole bludgers?

I didn't even bother watching Q & A last night. I just can't stand listening to JuLIAR anymore. I have no respect, trust or faith in the sociopath and bitch. I am just patiently awaiting the election. I am sure that millions of other Australians out there feel the same way.

The issue has never personally been on my radar as overly important.
I'm a child of the 70's, when we weren't scared of other people.

What is it, 4000 so what, we let 5 time that many Kiwi's every year who DO take our jobs.
Most refo's end up cabbing or cleaning up after us, how many kiwi's you seen in the drivers seat.

No the High Court outlawed offshore processing, it is current legal opinion that Naru will be challenged if introduced & they will win.
Tony had his chance to change the law about offshore but declined, therefore will be faced with the same issue if he tries on Naru, yes I know Labor should fold,DD & all that, blah, blah ,blah.
And as we are talking of Naru & your concern for brown people, what was the mental health outcomes of that facility?

You do not even try to understand issues, yet come on here & try engage in political debate.
The Carbon tax is not a personal income tax, it a company tax FFS.
Its not taking from the "Rich, middle or for that matter low income earners"

And before you type your uninformed bile remember Tony wishes to tax business so poor, middle & rich can have Kids.
Communism & social engineering all in 1
Why won't his tax flow on
Why when his tax nets a hell of a lot more companies than 500 won't it close people down.

If I actually thought you were for real & not some wanker personality of a lonely person whose only friend is a keyboard I would be truly frightened

AP, lolly, macca... they all failed. I take it you also have no explanation?

Yes, Matty, but I thought you'd be interested in a fellow woman as PM.

It raises the glass ceiling somewhat, don't you think?

A company tax? It is all going to flow through, and only those on lower incomes, and dole bludgers, are going to be compensated. I would try engaging in some actual debate with you, but why should I even bother when you post such rude and vile remarks?

Studies show that the red-headed lying bitch is not wanted, and neither is her communistic carbon tax. Time to ditch the bitch, although, I do kind of thank her, because she is one of our biggest election-winning assets.
