Indian Honour Killings?

Three Indian families self-massacred in Melbourne in six weeks!

Tragedies confound Indian community

...
The scene of the Clayton South triple fatality, one of three separate murder-suicides in Melbourne in less than six weeks.

INDIAN community leaders are struggling to comprehend why nine migrants have died in three separate murder-suicides in less than six weeks.

In the latest tragedy, revealed by police yesterday, a young husband and wife who had recently arrived in Melbourne were found dead in their home. News of the grim discovery prompted Melbourne India consul-general S. K. Behera to say he could not explain the reason.

Dr Behera said the distraught parents of Asim and Nidhi Sharma, who were found dead in Blackburn North on Monday, would fly to Australia to collect their bodies.

The Sharmas' deaths come less than two weeks after Anita George and her sons Mathew, 5, and Philip, 9, died in a Clayton South house fire.

On May 1, the bodies of Nilesh and Preetika Sharma and their children, Divesh, 5, and Divy, 3, were found in their Glen Waverley home.

''This is very unfortunate that in a short space of time these things have happened, but we have no clues why,'' Dr Behera said. ''I'm not in a position to say what is the cause.''

He said there appeared to be no connection between any of the families involved, noting that the Georges, while being of Indian descent, had lived in Canada before arriving in Australia.

A police spokeswoman said no third party was being investigated over the Blackburn North deaths.

Police would not say who discovered the body of Mrs Sharma and then called officers, who found Mr Sharma's body soon after.

Neighbours said police asked if they had heard arguing or fighting between 5pm on Sunday and 9am on Monday at the Sharmas' small Surrey Road flat.

Australia India Society of Victoria vice-president Manjula O'Connor, who works with victims of domestic violence as a GP, said various factors could be influencing the violence.

Dr O'Connor said Indians migrating to Australia could find the isolation and cultural factors difficult.

''The traditional role of the male being the head of the household is usually maintained upon migration,'' she said. ''That can offer up quite a lot of challenges as the female goes to work and adapts to Australian life.

''That can change the structure of the household and cause anxiety and struggles for control.''...

They were subjected to a weekend-long ordeal

A group of Muslim men who abducted and raped two teenage girls as part of their Eid celebrations laughed in court yesterday as they were jailed for a total of 38 years.
The girls, aged 15 and 16, were lured miles from their home to a dingy hostel.
In a horrifying weekend-long ordeal, they were plied with alcohol and repeatedly raped by two men, Shamrez Rashid and Amar Hussain, before being offered to a number of others who also ‘used them for sex’.
Ordeal: The girls, aged 15 and 16, were lured miles from their home to a dingy hostel where they were attacked
The 16-year old was forced to have sex six times with four different men.
The younger victim was raped by one man and then sexually assaulted by another.
One defendant, Rashid, 20, was said to have claimed the girls had enjoyed the sex, which he said had taken place as they celebrated the Muslim festival of Eid.
‘It was Eid,’ he said. ‘We treated them as our guests. OK, so they gave us [sex] but we were buying them food and drink.

‘They could have anything they wanted. They enjoyed it.’
His accomplice Amar Hussain, 22, claimed the girls were ‘slags’.
But Judge Melbourne Inman QC said the girls had still been children at the time of the offences.

He said it was quite obvious they had been frightened of the men, but this had had ‘no effect at all’ on their attackers’ behaviour.
Sentence: The defendants were jailed at Birmingham Crown Court (pictured)
‘They were still children and still living with their families,’ Judge Inman said. ‘In a civilised society, such people should be helped. You all abused them.
‘They were extremely vulnerable and you took advantage of that.’

The five defendants laughed and smirked as the horrifying details of their offences were described in court yesterday.
Rashid – who had already been found guilty of two rapes, an attempted rape, child abduction and an attempted sexual assault – grinned, laughed and made gun gestures in the dock.

His supporters in the public gallery hurled abuse at the judge as he passed sentence later.
The court heard how Rashid and Hussain drove the girls from their home in Telford in Shropshire to a Birmingham probation hostel on the evening of Saturday November 28 2009.
'Subjected to constant abuse'
They took them to an unfamiliar environment so they ‘would be disorientated and reliant on them,’ prosecutors said.

After raping the girls, they ‘in effect offered them up to their friends, introducing a string of young men into the house’.
Over the following 36 hours, the girls were subjected to almost constant abuse, despite begging their attackers to stop.
The 16-year-old was left with bruising all over her face and neck after she was forced to perform a sex act on Hussain.
She was then forced to have sex with Rashid and a third man, Adil Saleem, while others watched.
The court heard how she held on to a doorframe to try to stop her attacker dragging her into a bedroom, but was pushed inside and the door locked behind her.
She was warned that her attackers were in a gang known as the B9 Crew, and that ‘when someone pressed charges against them, they went to their mother’s house, put a gun to her face and broke her jaw’.
The girls eventually ran from the hostel and called the emergency services from a payphone.
The trial at Birmingham Crown Court was the latest of several cases in which groups of men have been accused of sexually exploiting vulnerable girls.
Hussain was found guilty of child abduction and three rapes and was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

Rashid received ten years for child abduction, two rapes, an attempted rape and attempted sexual assault.
Adil Saleem, 20, was given eight years for one count of rape. Jahbar Rafiq, 28, was handed eight years for rape and sexual assault and Amer Islam Choudhrey, 20, was given 15 months for child abduction and sexual assault.

19 YEAR-OLD PAKISTANI BOY CHARGED WITH ASSAULTING PUNJABI GIRL

Sikhs block off a main road outside Luton Police station in protest against an attack on a Punjabi girl

LUTON, UK (KP) -  On Tuesday evening, hundreds of Sikh protesters rallied together and protested outside Luton Police Station after a Punjabi female teenager was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 19-year-old Pakistani male on Monday night.

The Sikh community strongly believes that this attack was racially motivated, and is one of the many and growing body of evidences of activity within the Muslim community, however, small or isolated, which preys upon vulnerable Sikh females in an organised way and actively encourages this.  The attacker was identified as Anan Majid Basharat a local youth from the Luton neighborhood.

According to locals, the girl had been groomed and manipulated for sometime before the sexual attack. Both the victim and accused were students of Icknield High School, which is dominated with a Muslim majority. According to sources, the family had been to the police a numerous number of times in regards to the manipulation and grooming tactics being used by radical Islamists, however Bedfordshire Police force failed to take any action and failed to realize the historically linked hate crime.

In the mid 1990s the following poster was distributed by radical Islamists widely to the Muslim community throughout the UK and was the source of media controversy over how Sikh girls were being targeted and groomed for conversions, many of which were forceful and others through brainwashing by members of Hizb-ut-tahir (HUT), a major radical Islamic extremist organisation in the UK.

After meeting at Guru Nanak Gurdwara Luton on Tuesday evening, the Sikh community decided to protest outside the Police station after concerns that the local Police had failed to handle the incident properly. Some members of the community stated that “The Police are scared to upset a particular radical community. Even the media is scared of them. Every time their community commits systematic sexual grooming crimes the media and Police report the convicts as ‘Asians’. They are not just ‘Asians’ – but Pakistani radicals. When will the Police and media do justice?”

They further added, "We are do not consider Muslims as our enemies. It would go against our religion to do so. We respect all communities and religions. However, the Pakistani Muslim community needs to acknowledge and address they have a problem with their youth and that systematic grooming of young non-Muslims girls is happening throughout the UK."

The Sikh community blocked one side of Stuart Street. Although no one invited the English Defense League (EDL), some of their supporters joined the Sikhs in protest.

Representatives from the Sikh community were invited into the police station to discuss their concerns, but police, some with police dogs, eventually guarded the entrance to the station and herded protestors away from Buxton Road.

The group were eventually escorted back to the Gurdwara and eventually dispersed before midnight.

If we invade, kill and burn their Churches they will learn all about the true path to salvation.

Is that how it works falah?

A Muslim organization that has dedicated itself to eliminating Christians, and especially eradicating Christianity from its home territory in Africa, has turned in a new kill count of 19 more of the faithful.

Reports from Nigeria say that Muslims guerrillas this time killed at least that number with bomb attacks in the cities of Maiduguri and Kano.

The violence attributed to the Muslim group Boko Haram follows a weekend church suicide attack in the northern city of Bauchi.

Boko Haram claims responsibility for both episodes of violence.

The developments are alarming, experts say.

Open Doors USA and Worldwatch spokesman Jerry Dykstra notes that the sect already has killed at least 530 people so far this year.

“Many of them are Christians,” Dykstra said. “There have been at least seven suicide attacks, including churches, newspapers and police stations. Last year Boko Haram killed up to 1,000 Christians.”

The climbing numbers means Nigeria has moved up on the list of heavy persecutors.

“On the Open Doors 2012 World Watch List of the worst persecutors of Christians, Nigeria is ranked No. 13. It climbed 10 spots from the 2011 list,” Dykstra said.

Dykstra said that Boko Haram simply wants to destroy the Christian church in Nigeria.

Earlier this year Boko Haram stated that it seeks to “eradicate Christians” from areas in Nigeria. But it also has targeted some moderate mosques in northern Nigeria, officials report.

It is believed that Boko Haram has financial and logistical support outside and within Nigeria. Currently there are 12 states in Northern Nigeria which have Shariah law, the Islamic law that lays claim to managing both religious and secular life.

Boko Haram would like to institute Shariah throughout the country.

The high casualty figure follows a pattern of violence that has developed since earlier when, WND reported, the group vowed to “eradicate” Christianity.

It goals at that time were to remove Christians first from northern Nigeria, then all of Nigeria.

“The spokesman for the group (Boko Haram) say the group will launch a number of attacks targeting Christians,” said Jonathan Racho, expert on African violence. “So there are alarming developments even as we speak.”

Dykstra says that his sources indicate Boko Haram is moving forward with its agenda of violence.

“Boko Haram does have a well-coordinated strategy since its resurgence in 2009. It also wants to destabilize the government of Nigeria, led by a Christian president Goodluck Jonathan,” Dykstra said.

WND also previously reported that Boko Haram has developed a steady pattern of planned, but staggered attacks.

Dykstra said Jonathan’s willingness to talk with Boko Haram has caused a stir among some Nigerians.

“Some Nigerians have criticized Jonathan for his willingness to negotiate with Boko Haram and his failure to provide adequate security,” Dykstra said.

But he said Africa’s most populous nation holds one of the keys to the Gospel’s spread in Africa.

“Nigeria is so vital to the spread of Christianity throughout Africa. Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa with about 150 million people. Nigeria is 51 percent Christian and around 45 percent Muslim.”

Racho, the Africa analyst for International Christian Concern, recently returned from Africa and he says that numbers aside, the latest wave of attacks illustrates the daily life of Nigerian Christians.

“Christians in Nigeria face daily Islamic attacks. I have seen hundreds of Christians homes and churches that are demolished,” Racho said.

Dykstra said that Nigeria’s government needs a level head in this crisis and that America’s Christians can help in a practical way.

“Please pray for wisdom for the Nigerian leaders and the families of the victims of the Boko Haram church attacks; that they will be surrounded by peace only the Lord can give,” Dykstra said.

“Help them not retaliate. Pray that emergency aid Open Doors is providing after some of the attacks will get to those most in need,” Dykstra said.

However, Racho says that young Christians are getting fed up with the violence and the government inactivity and are acting to ensure their safety.

“In some areas, Christian youth are also fighting back because of lack of protection by the government of Nigeria,” Racho said.

One recent report said that Nigerian security forces had attacked and killed 16 Boko Haram rebels.

The Nigerian Joint Task Force field commander, Col. Victor Ebhaleme, said the fighting late Tuesday occurred around the densely populated Lawan Bukar and Shehuri areas of the city. He said Nigerian forces seized weapons and ammunition from the suspects and destroyed some of their home-made bombs, the report also said.

Racho says that Nigerian troops have stepped up their security activities.

“There are Nigerian security forces in many of the flashpoints. However, Christians continue to be killed at the hands of radical Muslims. The crisis in Nigeria could only come to an end if the international community pressures Nigeria to protect its vulnerable citizens,” Racho said.
