The United States is, and remains, the shining light of prosperity and freedom for the world to aspire.

I will be honest and say that my current standard of living is infinitely higher in the United States than it was in Australia and at 60% of the cost.

My taxes don't need to pay for others to have healthcare at my expense - instead that is channelled to providing my own healthcare.

I also buy cars, clothes, flights, electrical goods, entertainment systems at a cost of around half what you do in Australia.

I earn about the same or slightly more in the USA than the same role in Australia but I pay about $10,000 less in tax per year as a result of the system.

Petrol?
You fill up for $1.30 per liter. I fill up at 89c.

My friends, I would take the USA any day of the week.

And people live under bridges & suffer constant pain from medical
conditions including rotting teeth.

Not me mate.
I have access through my healthcare plan to the best doctors and surgeons in the world.

Your medical insurance is  $5,000 per annum
where as mine is  only 1/5th of that.

If you have a job medical insurance is usually paid by your employer in the USA.

That's money in my back pocket to spend how I like.

Where would I rather it went?

Come on now, surely you're not that stupid. America is a liberal democracy.
What about China? I hear they love dissenters over there!

You can call the method something else but the product is much the same.

Expand.
China is an obvious dictatorship, it uses direct methods such as violence.
The west is a subtle dictatorship, it uses indirect methods such as a monetary system.
That's very basic and their are many other methods especially for the west but you get the idea.

The West votes people in. It cannot be a dictatorship.

You vote for a puppet government who is in the back pocket of transnational corporations. Wake up and smell the roses. The chinese government isn't that corrupt yet Wink

The government is still voted in and can be voted out at the next election.

People choose to vote and choose to vote between several candidates. There's no obedience about it.

Why don't you just come out with it, how are we to think and vote?

This from a guy who refused to believe a multi-national company has more than 1 VP?!

Anyway Bobby - it's called health insurance allowance and is in my package (like a lot of people in the USA).

Even without work they do have it a lot better then most places, which once again is only possible because billions of people are economic slaves in 3rd world nations.

What do you mean by fickle and corrupted?

Are voters meant to think another way, perhaps like you? What is that thinking?

I put this to political puppet because he stated the same thing as you, but he didn't have the intellectual integrity to outline how the voters ought to think.

It's a no brainer because the preferential voting system here always makes sure a corrupt major party is running the show. Nobody else will ever get a go Sad

And if if it is a demcoracy like you say it is then why do they make voting compulsory ?

Voting may be compulsory, but no one really has to vote. Getting your named ticked off is all that needs to be done.

I am still waiting for you to state how you believe people ought to think and vote.
