Rodney King

This is a bit strange. What do ppl think happened? Maybe he had a heart attack while swimming?

http://edition.cnn.com/2012/06/17/us/obit-rodney-king/index.html

Quote:
Los Angeles (CNN) -- Rodney King, whose beating by Los Angeles police in 1991 was caught on camera and sparked riots after the acquittal of the four officers involved, was found dead in his swimming pool Sunday, authorities and his fiancee said. He was 47.

Police in Rialto, California, received a 911 call from King's fiancee, Cynthia Kelly, about 5:25 a.m., said Capt. Randy De Anda. Responding officers found King at the bottom of the pool, removed him and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation until paramedics arrived. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said.

There were no preliminary signs of foul play, De Anda said, and no obvious injuries on King's body. Police are conducting a drowning investigation, he said, and King's body would be autopsied.

Kelly -- who was a juror in King's lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles in 1994 -- told police King was an "avid swimmer," but that she was not, De Anda said. She reported the two had just had a conversation and she went inside, but came back out after hearing a splash and saw him at the bottom of the pool.

De Anda said he did not see any drug paraphernalia "or anything that would indicate that Mr. King was intoxicated" at the scene, but a toxicology screen would be performed.

WTF.

1. Why is it strange?

2. Most people I should imagine don't give  a shyte what happened.

3. Whatever it was it killed him.

4. People off all ages die everyday borg.  It's nothing knew.

5. He wouldn't have been the only person in the world to have been found dead in a pool yesterday.

6. Geez wait till pansi reads about it, she will blame the CIA and Mossad.

Unlike you, my friends don't wear white coats, give me pills twice a day, only allow me to use plastic knives and forks, make my bed, give me 'depends' for my birthday, mush my food in a blender for me or lock me in my room at 8PM.

So are three young people that went fishing on Saturday near Caves Beach.

So is a 68 year old security guard bashed to death at Broadway shopping centre yesterday.

They are the people you should be concerned about rather than a career criminal.

The rioters were criminals and thieves who looted free TVs and stereos.

Nothing more.

King was 25 and on parole after a robbery conviction in March 1991. In an interview in 2011, he recalled he had been drinking and was headed home from a friend's house when he saw a police car following him and panicked, thinking he would be sent back to prison. So he attempted to flee.

"I had a job to go to that Monday, and I knew I was on parole, and I knew I wasn't supposed to be drinking, and I'm like 'Oh, my God,'" he told CNN

Since the events that catapulted him into the spotlight, King has had several brushes with the law.

He was arrested in 2005 for making threats to kill his daughter and his daughter's mother after the two women got into an argument with his then-girlfriend.

He was also arrested in 2003 for allegedly punching a girlfriend. He had also pleaded guilty to reckless driving after crashing into a house with his car.

In November 2007, he was treated in hospital after an incident in which he was shot and wounded in the face, back and upper torso, in the Los Angeles suburb of San Bernardino.
