The current system ignored me when I voted for 'there will be no carbon tax under a government I lead'.

This system of lying to gain power sux worse than the proper system.

It's not the system that let you down, it is the current leader of the Liberals. He should of won the last election yet grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory.

We now have a price on carbon because Abbott held the Liberals back.

Don't blame the hung parliament for Abbott's inability.

(**coughs** humbly)  In my humble opinion, and based on my worldwide following of those with some degree of enlightenment - I would accept the mantle of Benevolent Diktator!  Tough work but someone has to do it!

And no Monica scandals either!  Keep it quiet!

Ive got to say, that I see the greens becoming more mainstream every day.  They seem to have less focus on some of their nuttier policies.

Hung parliments are the way to go, if you want true accoutability.

what makes you think the current one is 'accountable'? in precisely what area are they accountable? Horse-trading with minorities is not accountability. Since they are chosen by the electors then they are accountable to US. with the Carbon tax and other policies we have one of the LEAST accountable govts in 30 years.

What accountability do voters have when a one party or coalition have complete control.

For example state Queensland.

Currently public servants are being removed so to make the government even less accountable.

To make Australians less likely to have to pay labor debt.

Labor's debt?

We were talking about transparency.

A dictatorship is less transparent than a minority government.
