You see I'm not basing my judgement on Ashby's claims but the lies that have been told by the others involved in this case not the complainants themselves, & with John Howard's BBQ test, I think most would side with me.

It's like answering the 'do i look fat' question. There's not (sic) right answer. The daily do not like u! U do not like them! I do not like them! Do not help them sell papers!".

After finding out Slipper had done the interview he text him at 6.10pm: "You're not funny! I cannot believe you called her! We'll have to clean this mess up now !! f**k f**k f**k".

7.06pm - Slipper texts Ashby: "Relax my friend! x".

Ashby replies at 7.07pm: "It's so very hard to when u care about the bloke they keep f**king over. I hope like hell they don't f**k u over with this report".

7.19pm - Slipper texts Ashby: "Xxx".

9.38pm - Slipper texts Ashby: "Would be good if you here but perhaps we are not close enough?".

10pm - Slipper again texts: "Would be good if you here but perhaps we are not close enough?".

A text exchange then took place --

Ashby: "Haha where's Tim tonight?"

Slipper: "Missing".

Ashby: "Gone to pick up lol".

Slipper: "Do you think Timbo is closer to me than you?"

Ashby: 'Yeah but that's to be expected. He's known u longer. That sort of stuff doesn't worry me".

Slipper: "Gone to prick (sic) up to whom? And closer to you than pete?"

Ashby: "No he's closer to you. I hardly know him".

Ashby: "A random root lol!"

Ashby: "I've gotta stop being rude to my friends. Text u when I leave".

Slipper: "U getting roks off. Pity".

Slipper: "If you interested we could be closer?"

Slipper: "?"

Ashby: "I think we're good already. I'm happy seeing Tim being closest. I hate stepping on toes".

Slipper: ":"

Thanks matty. I dont see whats wrong with that though. He made a pass @ him and took no for an answer. Not sure why he got a massage form ashby though - that indicates theres stuff that wasnt texted between them. Its not harassment though - if that is harassment then nobody can ever make a pass @ anyone ever.

Ashby has not been found guilty of anything, however his actions arouse suspision in the mind of a reasonable person not trying to score points on a political board.

Thomson is not accusing anyone of anything, in fact he is accused of something and therefore has the right not to speak until on the stand in a court of law.
No civil action has been brought against him.
You'll find if this does go criminal everyone invovled will shut up pretty quick.

Slipper should know better than to get sexual with an employee. The poor employee would think that the all powerful boss would sack him if he didn't play along with the boss to some degree.

Once it got too much for the poor employee (feeling sufficiently intimidated and sickened), he then asks for advise from his work colleagues, who he has a natural trust toward and they start to help, in silence.

There is nothing untoward about that scenario and that is why it will be fun to watch yet more labor lampooning.

You play Ashby as the victim, as is your political leanings.
As I have none other then a sense of social justice, I can see that Mr Ashby may well have been the aggressor for his own political/employment advantage.
Looks like we will now have to wait for the criminal case.

The difference as I'm sure you well understand is that women, usually follow the correct procedure & report the harassment to the relevant person or authourities, not the media or the persons political foe.
Had Ashby reported Slippers actions to the office of integrity or police BEFORE running off to Liberal Party Headquarters & office of propaganda(daily tele), I probably would not be questioning his motives.
