You don't develop good relations by acting like you are a colonial power in a region where you are actually not so big. The liberal party put AU in a diplomatic ice box with indo for 10 years and things are now only just beginning to start to get back to where they once were. Abbott, the biggest mistake the country is about to make. It's like watching a teenager make the most stupid mistake of their life, you simply cannot get through to them how stupid it is yet Abbott will get elected anyway.

A few thousand reffos are only important to the Libs because they see that blowing it all out of proportion is their ticket to power.

If anyone thinks helping these people will sink the country they have no idea just how big our migration program is or the need for new citizens just to keep the economy ticking along in the future.
Neo cons may keep falling for Abbotts scams but most of us know there is more important things our leaders should be spending their time on.
