Had a gut full

Well i have been part of this site for about three years and in the early days had some really interesting conversations based on intelligent ideas and evidence based positions. Well that has gone from the debate on this site and with it went any sign of common decency.

The site really has become overwhelmed with extremist right wing mindless dribble, that would be funny in its stupidity if the people posting the rubbish were not so serious. I have been called a lefty, a conservative, a communist and recently a rural bully. Quite frankly i don't care anymore what i am called as the level of debate is horrid with little that makes sense.

The politics is overwhelmed with nonsensical right wing rubbish, the environmental debate tied down over whether scientists actually know anything and even the Atheist thread is overwhelmed by insecure Christians worried the atheists will eat their children.

I was with OLO for a long time before coming here and left their for the same reason. This site is full of sh1t, the debate meaningless and the level of true analysis lost to partisan stupidity. Bye now.

hilarious nairbe of all people.. calling others names.. who would have thought it..just read the op and its all everyone elses fault and nairbe would never dream of sticking it up anyone else..

name calling!!! he is one of the best at it..

if you really come on here for serious debate then thats what you should do.. you should never stoop to the level of calling people.. extremist mindless dribblers.. for a start.. it kind of puts peoples backs up..

I am not sure why it would do that..

I find its mostly those that cant take anyone disagreeing with them that take the cake..

I dislike personal attacks.. find that using the boards for that purpose. is beyond contempt.

there is no such thing as I am right and you are wrong..seeing every side of the box..which btw has more than 4 sides to it.. takes a bit of doing.. but if you try its amazing what you pick up..and all without name calling..

Gotta say that I can wholeheartedly sympathise with Nairbe.

Too many good members have either gone or are no longer
posting regularly.

Too many 'new' members who all seem to be clones or socks.

Too much bullshyt, too much name-calling and abuse.

And far too many threads started by the same two or three
posters, always harping on about the same thing over and
over. And almost always based on a false premise (boat-
people being 'illegal', for example).

I dunno.........(shakes head, walks off muttering quietly).

you only have to look at some of left leaning members that have left or has not posted in the last 12 months

energyangel, equitist, grey, infarction, jamesbluntus, pansi1951, peterfreedman, vegitamite97, nairbe, GoddyofOz, bludger, The valley boy, riverina jack

This board will finish up with just right leaning members patting each other on their back saying how good they are.

If you look there is a total of 1400 members and their would be lucky to have 50 members posting regular and halve of them are socks of someone else.
