Care to explain why GMC wants so much for this car ? Maybe they don't really want to sell it and just wanted to appease Obama when he bailed them out of a chapter 11.

GMC has a habit of killing off its own competitor to oil Sad

It's not the first time that GMC has killed off its own electric car program Sad

And with regards to flat screen displays. Remember how much the first ones cost ?? How much do they cost now ?? All new technology costs a lot when it is first released but the issue here is that electric vehicle technology is not that new is it !!

Regarding the cost of an EV, until you can explain why a Toyota Hybrid camry sells for 30K and the GM Volt hybrid sells for 60K then your argument is totally fallacious so stop parroting the sam old sh.t about the cost of EV's. The low cost of the Toyota Camry hybrid blows all of your economic arguments right out of the water.

The Colorado success came as utes continue to out-perform the overall market growth this year, with Nissan also delivering more than 2100 of its Navara pickups and the Ranger doing around 1700 for Ford.

Toyota dominated through July with around 17,000 sales, compared with Holden at just on 8900, then Mazda and Hyundai.

As has already been explained. Hybrids and electric cars are very different. The batteries and motors on a hybrid are far smaller than a full electric car. You can't just put a plug on it without massive redesign.

But all cars in Australia are much more expensive in comparitive.

Example -

Mercedes Benz C250 2012 Sports

USA - $39,500
Australia - $71,950

I dont think electric has anything to do with it.

This - in my experience - is a VERY EXPENSIVE country in everything. I am shocked how much you pay for everything compare to in europe or usa.
