And this has what to do with EVs??? nothing of course! Having lost the EVe argument for the 1000th time lastnail/bobby moves onto a tangential argument abour two dissimilar cars from two differnt makers that no one cars about.

You are a tool lastnail. No surprise that everyone thinks do poorly of you (except you sock/jock bobby of course!!)

An electric car has a range of say, 150kms.

How many KW of electricity is needed to charge the batteries in order to achieve that?

What is this? 'proving my point' day? You spend endless days abusing and berating anyone and everyone who doesnt 100% agree with you - a position which says we should all be using EVs even though you refuse to buy one yourself.

The ironic thing is, your reason for not buying an EV is the same as everyone elses. Too expensive and not good enough yet. As has been stated many times, the choice of EV or ICE is economic and practical. At the moments EVs cost way too much and are a very poor substitute in functionaility for petrol vehicles. So why isanyone - including you - surprised that they dont sell well? Paying more for less has never been a great marketing slogan.

Longy,
Well, I must say, I'm impressed!

I would have said, it was nearly impossible for anyone to post 37.5 average posts, every day.

But, you've done better, much better, you've posted 37.5 absolute drivel posts, every day, since you stopped being Longy (well sort of stopped).

Oh& you will be pleased, as I also find myself agreeing with your words for a change, as I truly do agree that "You spend endless days abusing and berating anyone and everyone who doesnt 100% agree with you"

Btw, have you figured out yet, why Crude Oil Prices increased 1500% in 10 years?

And have you worked out yet that quoting an artificially low start point for your graph, rather than stretch it back 20 years where it was HIGHER, is intellectually bereft?

Anyone can make an argument that is nonsense based on a small subset of data within a large series. I could just as easily 'prove' that oil prices are dropping by using another segment of the same data.

But I do notice that you failed (again) to reply as to why petrol prices themselves have failed to rised by 1500% in that same period of time and instead rose by only 60% or slightly LESS than CPI.

Try arguing the whole argument and not the 'conspiracy angle'.

Longy,
You've exceeded yourself?

Well nearly, your now up to 44 drivel posts, per day.

At this rate, it will only take you 422 days to exceed your own number of posts, under Longweakend?

Now that's something to look forward to???

Btw, I see you  still haven't figured out yet, why Crude Oil Prices increased 1500% in 10 years?

I'll give you a "helpfull" hint, it has something to do with "Supply & Demand"!

Hey gold_muppet it looks like you are having difficulty trying to comprehend this anomoly.

Locally built Holden Cruze Petrol car costs $20K

Fully Imported Holden Cruze Petrol car costs $20K

Locally built Toyota Camry Hybrid costs $30K

Fully Imported Holden Cruze (GM Volt) Hybrid costs $60K  Shocked

Go figure !!

Now do you want to tell us again why people won't pay 60K for a souped up Holden Cruze Cheesy LOL

That wasnt what I asked.  I asked how many KW's are required to charge the batteries?

What was so difficult about that?

actually it doesnt. if it did then the prices would have never fallen in the first place since demand has never dropped. You have an incredibly simplistic and error-filled view of economics.

its simple - two reasons actually.

1) he doesnt know the answer
2) he never actually gives answers anyhow, even if he does know it.

depends on the charge rate and battery capacity which will differ for each car Wink

There is no specific answer because it depends on the battery capacity and charge rate. If you had a science degree like you claim you do then you would know this instead of mocking everyone else because you just happen not to like the topic Sad

And if you had half the expertise you claim you would have said that first AND shown actual examples. It was a reasonable question to which you replied nothing but your usual venom.

Now... Show some examples to prove your point.

so you actually dont know the detailed answers. How not surprising. You never do. Verge knows more about EVs than you do - as do I. At least we are open-minded enough to know our facts. All you know are the conspiracies.
