So to do 140kms you need 26kw.
Its not hard for a person to do 20,000kms per year.
20,000/140 x 26kw x 20cents = $742.86
Our Nissan does 8.2L p/100kms.
20000/100 x 8.2L x 1.45P/L = $2,378 petrol.
2 x services per year = $400.
So our Nissan costs $2,778 to your nissan leaf of $742.
So its $2,036 cheaper assuming the Leaf has zero maintenance costs.
The hyundai 120 retails for about $16k, the Nissan Leaf of similar size retails for $51k as I just looked up on car sales.
Thats a lot of petrol man.
So why didn't you buy a hyundai then ??
Try driving it through peak hour stop start traffic as most people do these days
My wife just paid $500+ for a major service on her Mazda and they still wanted another $130 for a radiator flush !! They really know how to charge
You are dreaming if the average person can get out of spending $1000 a year on parts and maintenance on a fossil fool vehicle !!
And the Leaf sells for around 30K in the US even when the AUD is above parity. Go figure !!
Blame your greedy retailer chain for that as usual
I needed a larger car than an i20.
I was merely pointing out for size the leaf and i20 are compariable for size.
One costs $16k and the other costs $51k.
When you own brand new cars, maintenance is very minimal. One of the reasons I bought a nissan is their low servicing costs.
So why dont you import a leaf for $30k?
It tarriffs are what are out of control, not the retail network.
