If the fastest car in a straight line was the best one we'd all be driving drag cars but most of us judge the best cars with a far broader criteria.

Forget about what I own Longweekend.
The fact is that your V8 clunker could not win against even a little motorbike - a 250cc in a 1/4 mile drag.
Once - I saw a TZ 350cc 2 stroke from 1975 run a 10.23 1/4 mile time!
Cars are very slow in acceleration compared to bikes -
yet old men like you pretend they are racing car heros in their heavy V8s.
