SO we must't tell the Chinse what the Australian policy is on international disputes in the South China Sea??? (it's to support a peaceful resolution of all disputes). Or that they would be even richer if they introduced the rule of law and democratic elections? We mustn't tell them because they can't handle that kinda talk and it make them mad??

Of course those things must be told - but by the Government Ministers not an Opposition lackey on a junket. Government receive briefings and information that the Opposition are not privy too. All Abbott has done is caused angst. He is not in Government he should shut his holes

why would you lecture china or anyone. they are as likely to change their views as a leftie or a rightie being lectured by their opposite. just ALL downside.

the chinese read and understand sun tzu and lao tzu. they have read the art of war.
they understand how to be two faced, manipulative and dishonest to win your way.
these are admirable qualities.

grow up you childish commentators and play the game the way they play it. be honest with the chinese. what planet do you guys live on. be SMART like the chinese, that i can live with

Indeed. Travel arrangements for MPs and speaking engagements the likes of which Rudd had (New York and Chicago) can't be organised in the space of a week or so.
