It is a Muslim civil war, like the rest of the Arab Spring, so called, including the post-Saddam Iraqi bloodshed and the Afghan 'insurrection'.
Remove the dictator, whether in Iraq or Libya or Egypt, and the places boil over, warlords, factions, clans begin to jockey for power.
You think post-invasion Afghanistan compares to the so-called Arab Spring, do you, old chap? I must say, I'd never quite thought of it that way.
How about the recent council elections in Indonesia? The Turkish Chamber of Commerce? The Parents & Teachers Association of Kota Bharu?
Marvellous insight, dear boy. I, for one, value your contribution here. You've got my vote for the Faculty board.
After we remove the current dictator, of course. And believe me, that will not be an easy task - she teaches Post-Menstral Studies to the undergraduates.
