Sometimes it's easier to say sorry to an irate stranger you inadvertently cross paths with, than invite trouble by returning the anger.

I dont think children were firing to us - they would not even be able to see over the concrete.

I've never been in a war zone, but ............ just thinking about it, I don't know how you could tell that someone shooting at you was a child if the rest of their body is obscured and all you can see is their head. If a kid is holding a gun and most of him is hidden from view, I lose a lot of sympathy I'd normally have for them.

But still .......... I think they should limit their weapons to guns and keep the artillery shells, bombs, air-to-surface missiles, grenades and other explosives out of battle.

But you have to look after yourself first.

From my own incident, from the height of the walls. The child would need to be 6 feet in height or standing on boxes.
Also given the accuracy of the shots to us -- it was not likely to be children.

Still, the decision in this incident was to pull back and call for F-16 strike support.

I can not talk specific details of time, location etc only to say it was in Op Cast Lead which i was in.

2 large apartment buildings. Are you telling me there were no families and children in there? How do YOU know? You know that an airstrike isnt just going to take out 1 sniper its going to take out 100s of ppl.
