Take your pick of the following myriad of Polls, but one thin seems clear, this election is far from a certainty, for either major candidate!

yep obama $1.50
romney $ 3.00

interesting,  what is on his agenda for the next 4 years assuming he gets in (looks likely)
war in iran  Cry Cry Cry

Maybe invade Iran, Syria, Yemen and one other, just for fun.

Romney's a war monger too. It's in their genes. He'll keep destabilising the middle east, at least until they (America) roll over and die of poverty, or self implode, whatever comes first.

the problem is that the american psyche will NEVER let them role over and die of poverty or implode.
they see their world domination in religious terms . they see the americanization of the rest of the world in much the same way that some jehadists see the islamization of the world. if they see they are going down, it will not be like the decline of the british empire.  it will be very sado masochistic and deranged.  stay tuned Smiley Smiley

Another 4 years of the doubtful US native and they may as well turn the house lights off and hand in the keys to the next world order.
And pansi, I think you're wrong there. Romney has been pulling in more dollars than Obama for all but a month or two.
By the way, since when were you socialist alliance? You were always such a nice girl. Now you'll have to be out there in the street with the crazies.

who's going to print more money obama? or romney.?

probably obama. if so he is the friend of big business because business can move their wealth out of the country but such an inflationary policy will erode the wealth of middle class americans .

This recent comment made by Romney has not helped us at all.

Whilst he does have a point - there are a set of people that will vote for Obama no matter what - the deadbeats, welfare bludgers, blacks and hispanics - the soundbite has not helped his campaign at all.

"There is a very strong correlation, then, between a state voting for Republicans and receiving more in federal spending than its residents pay to the federal government in taxes (the rust belt and Texas being notable exceptions). In essence, those in blue states are subsidizing those in red states. Both red and blue states appear to be acting politically in opposition to their economic interests. Blue states are voting for candidates who are likely to continue the policies of red state subsidization while red states are voting for candidates who profess a desire to reduce federal spending (and presumably red state subsidization)."

You rail against the "welfare bludgers" and now you're calling them "good people".

Which is it?

You can't just take a broad brush and write the people in the South off as welfare bludgers.

The South that I have been to - Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia have all got additional social issues within their larger cities.

By the way, when you actually nail it down within those states - have a look how they voted v unemployment.

The major cities - Birmingham, Mobile, Jackson, Atlanta - all voted strongly Obama in the cities and thats where the greatest proportion of welfare is spent.
You wouldn't be a rocket scientist to work out what they look like and why they voted for him either by the way, but thats another point.

Fortunately the people further out of the cities and in the outer suburbs have more sense (and jobs) and voted for a decent guy like John McCain.
