More disturbingly still - the crowd was also carrying the banner of Al Quada. That was a fact not picked up by any media organisation - I guess it would be 'Islamophobic' to report such a thing.

What a load of nonsense. The banner with shehadeh on it has been used by Muslims for well over 1000 years. The idea it's the "al-qa'idah banner" is just laughable. Only a tosser such as yourself could come up with such nonsense.

That seems innocuous enough. I guess it highlights which messages they want to send to the rest of the community. It does seem kind of strange to go to the trouble of protesting with a fancy banner and writing it in a language that the rest of Australia won't understand. Is it supposed to be more of a message of solidarity with the Arab world?

It is the Islamic creed, and the banner is the banner that represents Islam.

It's got nothing to do with the Arabic world.

It was written in Arabic. It obviously was not targetted at an Australian audience. Perhaps it never occurred to them that Australians may not be able to read the message they are trying to send.

Was Calanen right about the black flag and the white flag of Islam?

The interesting thing about it is that it is the opposite of the typical crap you get from Muslims. Like Abu and his deliberate propaganda efforts. Or like that UK cleric who told reporters that it is wrong to kill innocents, then told his followers in Arabic that only Muslims are innocent. So you would expect them to put the innocuous message with the purely spiritual content in English and the death threats in Arabic. It's a common theme with these protests - Islam bearing its ugly face for all to see, when it has otherwise been so careful to hold up a peaceful facade.

Muslims like Abu actually support the death penalty for blasphemy. The difference is not in what they believe, but in what they will openly say they believe.

They're not trying to send any message by it. It's simply our flag, our banner, our symbol of our creed. It is not meant to be read in the sense of a placard at a rally, it is merely to identify the people as adherents to the Islamic creed.

Perhaps if you pulled away from your incessant suspicions against Islam for a moment, you might've picked this up already.

One flag is a state flag and another a military flag, yes. Beyond that, his post was mostly deluded fantasy.

I just saw some more Muzzies on the 7.30 report tonight
holding down a 5 year old girl & cutting her private parts with a razor blade -
they were animals.
We don't want them here.

So if they selectively brought some Christians or Animists on there doing it as well, then you'd also say the same for those religions?

Or how about Ethiopian Jews??? Would you dare say we don't want Jews here? Because some small sectors of their community, from certain parts of the world practice this, based on a cultural tradition of that region?

You know you would never dare say such a thing, cos you're a cowardly mutt who barks only when you think it's safe to bark.

In Abu's usual way to try to do some sleight of hand, he wrongly accused me of saying that the black flag of jihad was the al quada flag. As I said, IN ADDITION To the black flag of jihad, they also carried the flag of Al Quada.

If I can dig up some photos (I actually may have a personal one of the flag of al quada being waved) I will.

This is the flag of Al Quada.

...

Anyone who wants to check whether the white flag is the flag of the Islamic Empire and the black flag is the black flag of jihad, google is only a click away.

Got it FD, have a look at the video I posted, in the first 15 seconds, at about 9 seconds in - right in centre shot you should see the flag of al quada, (as depicted above) along with the flags of the Islamic Empire and the Black Flag of Jihad. In the same shot, on your left, you can see the flag of Hamas, the green flag.

That's just the Muslim creed, based on the design of the signet ring of Muhammad (pbuh).

Again clutching at straws with your nonsensical claims. That design was around well over 1000 years before the CIA ever dreamed up their little al-Qa'idah bogeyman.

From the Australian-

AFTER the hope of the Arab Spring came the anarchy of the Arab Winter, unleashing a global wave of intolerance that swept through Sydney on Saturday. Protesters carrying the black flag of jihad, the banner of al-Q'aida, confronted police using the ugly language of extremism. A child, perhaps no more than five, held up a banner calling for the beheading of Islam's enemies, as a woman, presumably his mother, took a souvenir picture. Let us hope this is not a glimpse of Australia's multicultural future. It would be naive to imagine this was merely a spontaneous local demonstration or an expression of discontent within a section of local society.

Code for: Those bloody Arabs finally rose up and got rid of the oppressive dictators we've foisted on them for the past 80 odd years, and we are unable to directly control what they do next.

How would you feel if they imposed a brutal dictator, starved half the country and killed millions of innocent people?
