There are 2 components of human thought - logic and emotion. Everyone uses a mix of two, but the balance between the 2 differs between individuals. Highly rational people think in cold, calculating terms, and tend to be attracted to maths and science. Highly emotional people think in fluffy, airy fairy terms and tend to be attracted to people-oriented professions.

No prizes for guessing which side I'm skewed towards.
