Sure God created man before woman. But then you always make a rough draft before the final masterpiece.

*walks thru the door, steps up to the lectern, holds the briefing notes*

first off the Leader will be meeting with ambassador of Riza later today to have a trade agreement ratified. As you all know Risa (about 6 hours via runabout from Deep Space 9) specialises in holidays and 'comfort' services. This is primarily designed to address the balance of payment deficit due to certain trolls availing themselves of that girl 2.8 miles away from you.

we've had a number of bills from her this month, some of which have been for 'unusual services'.. I just hope you had the duck's consent... oh! the duck is missing, please return her..

we have had a number of guests visit the thread in the past few days and we would take this opportunity to retrospectively welcome them, they are......gold medal, gizmo_2655, JC Denton, frances (who is insisting that mantra is not her sock), dr no, soren (always a delight) andrei, and pansi also came (and the average IQ went up considerably), and there was our usuals, elvira, Friyay (the prick), Quantum with his applications..

the troll eradication program is going to plan and unless new trolls are added to the wanted list, we expect zero survivors by the start of the festive seasons. on that note, Hanukkah starts december 8th (through to December 15th), and xmas is December 25th.

Frances did ask a number of questions and we will address these now.

1."Why do you link my name with that of Mantra?"
intelligence provided us with a report that both of you have the xy chromo. and the rest is classified. we track all trolls as a matter of course and there are certain.. indicators..

2."Why are the people on your list considered trolls?"
trolls fit a 'behaviour profile'. they attack members of the VA, and the Leader, and they have a low IQ which is irritating to intelligent non-trolls when they post rubbish. Elvira is the classic example of dumb. you were whacked because you got out of your depth with the malevolent god post.

3."How can I be destroyed when I'm still here?"
as mentioned previously, you are having a 'near death' experience:
A near-death experience (NDE) refers to a broad range of personal experiences associated with impending death, encompassing multiple possible sensations including detachment from the body; feelings of levitation; total serenity, security, or warmth; the experience of absolute dissolution; and the presence of a light.

These phenomena are usually reported after an individual has been pronounced clinically dead or otherwise very close to death, hence the term near-death experience. With recent developments in cardiac resuscitation techniques, the number of reported NDEs has increased. The experiences have been described in medical journals as having the characteristics of hallucinations, while parapsychologists, religious nuts and some mainstream scientists have pointed to them as evidence of an afterlife and mind-body dualism.

Popular interest in near-death experiences was initially sparked by Weiss's 1972 The Vestibule, followed by Raymond Moody's 1975 book Life After Life and the founding of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) in 1981. Lots of ppl claim to have had a near-death experience. Some commentators, such as Simpson, claim that the number of near-death experiencers may be underestimated. People who have had a near-death experience may not be comfortable discussing the experience with others, especially when the NDE is understood as a paranormal incident.

that's how..

mantra said:
"It's incredible that a thread all about nothing can go on for 60 pages.
I assume the players can follow what's going on here, but I doubt anyone else can".
mantra, please refer to frances' Q&A #2.

btw, it looks like hyperion got aquascoot..

and, we seriously want that duck back..

I will now take questions from the floor..

*grasshopper, this question is couched in the same structure as the 'have you stopped beating your wife' one. it is what is called a 'loaded' question. research the loaded question.*

k, master. goes to wiki.

Quote:
A loaded question is a question which contains a controversial or unjustified assumption (e.g., a presumption of guilt).[1]

Aside from being an informal fallacy, such questions may be used as a rhetorical tool: the question attempts to limit direct replies to be those that serve the questioner's agenda.[2] The traditional example is the question "Have you stopped beating your wife?" Whether the respondent answers yes or no, he will admit to having a wife, and having beaten her at some time in the past. Thus, these facts are presupposed by the question, and in this case an entrapment, because it narrows the respondent to a single answer, and the fallacy of many questions has been committed.[2] The fallacy relies upon context for its effect: the fact that a question presupposes something does not in itself make the question fallacious. Only when some of these presuppositions are not necessarily agreed to by the person who is asked the question does the argument containing them become fallacious.[2] Hence the same question may be loaded in one context, but not in the other. For example the previous question would not be loaded if it was asked during a trial in which the defendant has already admitted to beating his wife.[2]
The term "loaded question" is sometimes used to refer to loaded language that is phrased as a question. This type of question does not necessarily contain a fallacious presupposition, but rather this usage refers to the question having an unspoken and often emotive implication. For example, "Are you a murderer?" would be such a loaded question, as "murder" has a very negative connotation. Such a question may be asked merely to harass or upset the respondent with no intention of listening to their reply, or asked with the full expectation that the respondent will predictably deny it.

now, only a moron would ask a superior intelligence such a question, prick-Friyay, but I will not call you a moron which would be elitist.

you need to lift your game and this addy will help if you read and practice:
http://www.dumblittleman.com/2009/09/47-ways-to-fine-tune-your-brain.html

next question.. anyone?
