first means (in this context) being before all others with respect to time.

So where is the proof of the action of evolution upon those insects, over a 100 million year period, if we have the same exact insects present today ???

Because, the claim is that apes evolved into humans [i.e. ourselves], over a much shorter time span, than 100-Million-Years.

[AND, there is a rational explanation [provided by real science] for the disparity in size, of insects captured in amber, by antiquity, and the size of insects of today. [But i will let you search out that reason, if you wish to find it out.] But the essential truth remains; That '100-Million-Year-Old insects', look exactly like the same insects we find today.]
