Who knows with the carbon tax.  Gst was also hated yet ended up being a good reform policy people got over.  The carbon tax has not had the impact to tony cries it would.  Liberals would be served with a leadership change that allows them to move away from this line of argument to Aline of argument about actually having better policies.

why do you think Turnbull is out of the running? I just assumed if Abbott was to go, Turnbull is the only viable replacement.

That's the problem for both major parties, the most viable options on both sides are X leaders. I don't think the country will get Rudd and Turnbull out of its system until they both either retire or return as leaders. It's astonishing how popular both are, I've never ever seen past leaders of both sides be so preferred  over the incumbents.

I think he carries to much baggage ... I think it's unlikely they will put him back in ....

Gillard is hated for whatever personal reason a voter wishes to latch onto be that Rudd takeover or CT
Abbott is viewed as incompetent at best a bully at worst by most voters, personal opinion again

I'd agree I don't think Turnbull will ever lead the current Liberal party agian as it's not a LIBERAL party it's a CONSERVATIVE party in the worst form of the word.

Wouldn't it be funny if the libs replaced abbott with that bishop woman. Aussies voting between 2 women gillard and bishop. Can you imagine it? Perhaps there would finally be some needed changes to the voting system as everyone bucks up and says "no more voting for the lesser tweedle!"

If I wanted a real labor leader Id vote for Gillard. I dont need TWO labor leaders to choose from.

Not really!

Turnbull would make a better  'Labor'  leader than either Rudd or Gillard.

However, when leading the conservatives, Turnbull slipped down to rate 13%!

Do the no hopers (Labor bast*rds) think that we have such short memories?

LOL! That's why the Laborites want him returned to leadership of the coalition.

At least, Turnbull knows that dollars don't grow on trees. That's why he is wealthy.
