Our country is called ISRAEL.

You mean the 3rd reich?

SOB

When are you leftards going to stop pretending that the National Socialists were not part of your greater  Marxist family. Every time you use the Nazi word as a pejorative term you insult yourselves!

BS the comparison is valid obviously. They use the "holocaust" as an excuse to commit the same crimes.

Greens party in a dubious alliance

A SENIOR Labor MP has accused the Greens of supporting "gay-hanging, women-hating" terrorists by failing to condemn Hamas rocket attacks from Gaza on Israel.

Chair of the parliament's foreign affairs committee Michael Danby slammed Greens leader Christine Milne, accusing her of being "in bed with Islamic fundamentalists" after the Greens put a motion yesterday to the Senate blaming Israel for the conflict.

........

In a motion to the Senate the Greens labeled Israel's actions as "disproportionate" and argued that it was the fifth most powerful military in the world compared to "Palestine" which had a contracted and weakened economy.

The US government has listed Hamas as a terrorist organisation but the Australian Government has so far refused to follow suit, listing only its military wing and not its political wing as a terror organisation.

Foreign Minister Bob Carr, who earlier this week had appeared out of step with the US and Prime Minister Julia Gillard by also suggesting that Israel's response may have been "disproportionate", had shifted his language yesterday.

What was Gillard's response? She shut Bob Carr up very quickly.

Quote:
Ms Gillard yesterday said she had called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to convey Australia's support for Israel.

"I made the points very clearly to him then that we absolutely condemn as a Government the rocket attacks from Gaza into Israel absolutely condemn those rocket attacks and they must cease," the PM said.

"Israel has the right to defend itself and I stated that to Prime Minister Netanyahu.

And after expressing dismay and horror at the loss of Palestinian lives the Palestinians are celebrating their victory over Israel.

Quote:
GAZANS took to the streets to celebrate the start of a truce deal with Israel, firing into the air, honking car horns and chanting victory slogans.

The celebrations began shortly after the 1900 GMT (6am AEDT) start of the ceasefire, as agreed in a deal between Israel and Hamas that was announced on the eighth day of violence in and around Gaza.

Heavy celebratory gunfire could be heard throughout the Gaza Strip, and residents also released fireworks into the night sky, where Israeli drones could still be buzzing heard overhead.

"The resistance has triumphed," some shouted, alongside chants of "Allahu akbar (God is greatest)."

In the minutes leading up the beginning of the ceasefire, heavy outgoing and incoming fire could be heard, but it appeared to have stopped after the deadline took effect.

How quickly the dead are forgotten. If the Palestinians don't care for their dead why should we.

The ALP, the progressive party, the party of ideas, the workers' friend, is the only Australian political party to roast four young Australians in roof cavities. SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!

Wow you will go to any lengths to try and justify genocide wont you. Obviously the ones that are chanting arent the ones that lost their children. Or maybe they are and they are celebrating the violence ending. Who knows but i certainly wouldn't believe any propaganda after the way the worlds media has treated this thing. Israel needs to answer for their atrocities.

The disproportionate argument is such a dumb one. So does that mean that when Japan bombed Pearl Harbour, the US government was only permitted to blow up ships in Tokyo Harbour? It's just more sophistry and word games from the Left.

The disproportionate argument just means 'Israel is not allowed to hit back better than HAMAS shoots at them', ie, Israel is not permitted to win. Which is the whole point of a war I thought, to win it.
