Palestinian people fed up with militants

Good to see a bit of common sense. No point blaming Israel when some idiot was firing missiles from your rooftop.

In Gaza, the first you know of an incoming bomb is the boom. The other sound is outgoing missiles. Fights have been breaking out between some groups when residents of an area become angry with militants wanting to fire from their neighbourhood.

Israel responds quickly and forcefully, and those still in the area where the rocket was fired face the consequences.

The longer this war goes on, the more children will be killed. When it's over, children on both sides will be traumatised for a long time to come.

But I thought the brave PLO and other groups didn't use children and civilians as shields. What about those brave members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade? They wouldn't use children as shields would they? We were told that the Israelis were aiming at civilian areas. It looks like the Israelis are aiming at the rocket launching sites.

In case you haven't noticed squatter, you've left the Palestinians with only a tiny little corner of their country. You might be under some delusion that Gaza is a land of wide open plains and pristine mountains, but I assure you it is not. It is an urban-ghetto open-air concentration camp, that's why the brave defenders of Gaza use rooftops, because that's about all there is in Gaza. That doesn't justify firing upon civilian buildings.

How about the little girl who we saw on lateline last night? A crater the size of a house was made by Zionist bombs a coupla hundred metres from her home and a piece of shrapnel was thrown up onto her roof which crashed in and smashed her head open... You people are absolutely despicable monsters.

Go back to whence you came and leave the people of Gaza to return to their homes, and to have their children safe again.

The Rafah blockade was lifted in 2011 - and as far as I know has been open ever since.

The rockets are not ideal, but what else can the Palestinians do? 'Israel has a right to defend itself' is the mantra we hear ad-nauseum in western media, but no one seems to consider that the Palestinians also have a right to defend themselves against Israeli attacks. If the west is so concerned about their indiscriminate attacks, then I suggest the west provide the Palestinians with f16 fighter jets with precision guided weaponry. I'm sure the Palestinians would be more than happy to strike at the Israeli terrorists in an infinitely more targeted and efficient manner.

The Palestinians are all as deluded as you and think the glorious victory over Israel is just around the corner, so they are happy to have militants firing antiquated weapons from their rooftop against a vastly superior army, despite the all too obvious consequences. The Jews who run the Australian were falsely misrepresenting the Palestinians as rational people capable of a bit of forethought.
