whatever the numbers are - Gillard is not confident enough in them to call an election

if she's not confident in them - why are lefties so confident in them other than false bravado??!!

Why would she call an election when she's got nearly a year to run...

I dont get this idea of running to the polls all the time.  We have democracy which says we have elections every few years, not every few months.

Well this lefty certainly isn't confident or expressing any false bravado. Yet 6 months ago she was a dead duck - everyone agreed on that. Now she's in with a chance - and that is trully a remarkable thing. Seriously if Tony loses this election - which must class as the most unlosable election in the history of mankind-  then that will trully be one for the history books.

He won't lose it, he won't be there, any leader that can lose such a massive lead this far out from an election is dog meat.

anyone who takes the Morgan poll as gospel is going to be disappointed. they are routinely 3-4% off from the other polls which prove to be pretty accurate.

I wouldnt start planning for labor to be re-elected anytime soon. most other polls have Abbott comfortably in front.

actually 'funny' is reading your posts where you routinely say

1) Gillard has 2 years until the next election
2) Libs get no seats in QLD
3) the nats get more seats than the Greens and it is 'unfair'
4) ALP is leading in the polls.

For someone who is apparently smart, you are one of the stupider posters. Skippy and SOB have excuses as they are dumber than farm animals. but you are not.

i said CREDIBLE polls like newspoll and galaxy were the ones to watch. the ones with a 1.1% MOE and funnily enough the ones predicting a comfortable coaltion victory.

So if we gather all the polls together and assess the trends, everything is going down exactly as I predicted; The doomsday prophecies from Abbott about the Carbon Tax were proven to be bullsh!t and as a result we're going into 2013 with the parties once again at virtual parity.

If we go into the 2013 election and get another hung parliament, I will laugh my arse off.

Is that the same news poll that has had Labor  neck  and neck or within a couple of points in every poll over the past six weeks now, longwhinynuffy? Yet it's not a trend ,it's just an outlier, lol, I thought matty was naive.
