Labor 50.5 Coalition 49.5
Nov 22nd, 2012 at 3:30am

Quote:
In mid November support for the ALP is 50.5% (up 4%) cf. L-NP 49.5% (down 4%) on a two-party preferred basis according to the latest face-to-face Morgan Poll conducted over the last two weekends, November 10/11 & 17/18, 2012.

Today’s face-to-face Morgan Poll shows the ALP primary vote is 36.5% (up 1% in 2 weeks) and the L-NP 38.5% (down 4.5%). Among the minor parties Greens support is up by 1.5% to 11.5% and Independents/ Others is up 2% to 13.5%.

If a Federal election were held today the result would be too close to call and would depend on minor party preferences according to this face-to-face Morgan Poll.

The Roy Morgan Government Confidence Rating has risen to 107.5pts (up 2.5pts over the last two weeks) with 45.5% (up 1.5%) saying Australia is ‘heading in the right direction,’ compared to 38% (down 1%) saying Australia is ‘heading in the wrong direction’.

http://www.roymorgan.com/news/polls/2012/4840/

Quote:
This face-to-face Morgan Poll on Federal voting intention was conducted over the last two weekends, November 10/11 & 17/18, 2012 with an Australia-wide cross-section of 1,573 Australian electors aged 18+, of all electors surveyed a low 2% (unchanged) did not name a party. Face-to-face polling is more accurate than telephone polling due to the higher response rate achieved compared to other forms of polling including telephone polling and Internet polling.

Jumping all over one poll is stupid. A series of polls start to tell a story.

50.5% support for labor, well all that means is their is that amount of people that are quite happy with the carbon tax and government spending. And they all must be liveing comfortably then.

Yes, you are probably right.

I support the carbon price,  more than happy with most government spending, especially in education, and are living quite comfortably.

All those things would be in jepody under Abbott.
I vote  "no change".

whats interesting is that the last 5 or so polls show a trend - which is that both sides are neck and neck.

For an opposition to lose so much ground so far out from an election is quite incredible. And I'm not entirely sure what has happened to cause this. Sure Tony's a douche - but why are people only realising this now?

As with the AWU story and the sacking of journo's, Gillard got sick of the polls story and has put the heat on to make the story more balanced.

Tony's bullsh!t has been exposed & as he reminded us daily, the electorate doesn't like being mislead.

That and the fact as displayed over the last few weeks, That he can dish it out but can't take it, top that off by always hiding behind women's skirts be that Bishop x2 or his missus & kids.
Never a good look Wink

Like the carbon tax?

Not concerned by this poll. Morgan and Reachtel are shockingly inaccurate. I don't pay much attention to polls anyway but I know that newspoll and nielsen are the two to watch.

whatever the numbers are - Gillard is not confident enough in them to call an election

if she's not confident in them - why are lefties so confident in them other than false bravado??!!

Why would she???

Shes got until October next year, plenty of time to watch the bully self implode from his own incompetence.

Frankly I'd vote against her for depriving ME of that spectacle but I'm pretty sure she'll enjoy the show even more than the rest of us. Wink

Yep, that's the money quote of the month, and the conga line off phony tony suckholes as too dumb to realise or to smart to acknowledge it.

Goodbye Phony Tony..it looks like no one cares if Gillard was ripped off and conned by an old boyfriend as much as they care about phony tony beating up on women.
