Sorry, I thought I was stating YOUR position. I must have been confused. The meds, you see.
Lucky I’m away from the knives. I might try and cook something.
Best to leave me with my guns and ammo, Yadda - much safer than my medication., that’s for sure.
In the hands of sane and peaceable people, firearms are
NOT dangerous.
In the hands of the insane, firearms
are dangerous.
And imo, it is irresponsible [and should be unlawful] to allow firearms to be possessed by the criminally insane.
BUT, imo, it is also irresponsible [and should be unlawful] to prevent sane and peaceable people from having access to firearms, so as to protect themselves from the criminally insane.
How can we tell who are the criminally insane ???
A simple definition of SANITY/INSANITY. Quote:
Typically, an unrestrained sane person will act in ways which are harmless to others, and in ways which are creative, and productive [for himself, others, and society].
And typically, and conversely, an unrestrained INSANE person will act in ways which are harmful and destructive to himself, and, or, others around him.
AGAIN....
Quote:IMO, everybody in Australia who is;
1/ over 25 years of age,
2/ has not had a criminal conviction in the last 20 years,
3/ and has never been convicted of illicit drug abuse, AND, has never been convicted of drink driving,
.....should be allowed to own a firearm [if they want to own one] to defend their home and family.
"Israel & US are one!"http://www.ozpolitic.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1331083663/282#282IMO, if we want a peaceful society, we need to make the criminals frightened,
......of the peaceable and law abiding citizens.
AND, remove 'career' criminals from society,
permanently.
What is wrong with that ?
