JuLiar,
Prostitution in marriage is the transaction of sex in return for love, security and housekeeping.

Does JuLiar still believe this today?

Does this mean that women don't enjoy sex?

it is a truly appalling statement to make or believe. Juliar is of course, a disgrace.

Ok..even though Julia didnt actually say that all mothers are prostitutes why are women that exchange sex for money and a comfortable life where they never have to work not prostituting themselves?
Explain how this statement is wrong?

Bet nobody can show us where gillard actually said this?

As usual the Macca title is most likely 100% untrue.

she was head of the ASU which actually promted terrorism violence and calling mothers prostitutes.

she said it alright.

she said it alright

Would that be an assumption you are making?

she was head of the ASU which actually promted terrorism violence and calling mothers prostitutes.

That was the interpretation put on what they actually said, it wasn't what the statment meant.

The title of the thread clearly states that Gillard has made a precise statment which is clearly untrue

promted terrorism violence

No there was a motion defeated to oppose all acts of terrorism and political violence, that is very different.

a true class act from Gillard.

I bet her mother is SO proud.

I would bet that her mother is justifiably proud and that the title of this thread is another Macca untruth.

Her parents are welsh.
That lot are proud if their kids just hold a job over £5 per hour!

Not exactly high bench setters are our odd little neighbours.
Once a Welsh, always one.

There are some rather ugly stereotypes about Poms and South Africans too you know?

Had a tub yet this year Andrei?

Probably about as invalid as the one you used? / I hope.

The difference being I grew up next to this lot and know what they are like.

Yours is mythical nonsense.

Yours is mythical nonsense

It is actually based on a rather sensible fact to my understanding?

is it really??? it is semantically different but in practice it meant they DIDNT oppose terrorism and violence which is effectively the same thing as supporting it.

no matter how you view it , it was a reprehensible statement that you seem to decline to oppose.

Prostitution in marriage is the transaction of sex in return for love, security and housekeeping.

The belief dove tails nicely into Tony Abbotts view of Woman

"What the housewives of Australia need to understand as they do the ironing ...",

Does this mean that women don't enjoy sex?

Interesting question?

Do prostitutes enjot sex?

Nature has programmed women to enjoy sex -
that's the process of natural selection - ones who didn't enjoy sex have procreated less
so sex enjoying DNA types have survived more.

Some do. Some don't.
I watched an interesting programme on the subject a while back.

DIDNT oppose terrorism and violence

"
all
acts of terrorism and
political
violence".

I do not know the context of the discussion or the reasoning but I do not support what the statmets infer was said in any way.

Many people do not oppose
all
political violence, for many years we supported what was happening in Israel and the illegal invasion of Iraq was a politically violent action, the work of the French resistance in WW2 was a form of terrorism that we supported.

With no context to measure against it is difficult to know what they actually meant and I am not comfortable to take the word of our current mob of supposed journalists or reporters in terms of accuracy honesty or integrity.

I have still seen nothing to connect Julia with supporting these statments other than her position at the time.

Neither comment offends me particularly. Feminists have been using the prostitution in marage argument for decades and Tony's opinion is just his expectation from his upbringing and sheltered position, He has the view left over from his previous generation (conservative). The seafood didnt offend me either.

This has survived largely because he has had an economic position allowing him to differ from the average Australian where a working wife is a necessity and sharing housework becomes the norm.

ironing comment is more earth shattering

I just used it because of the way it dove tails into what Julia probably  didn't say
