The numbers would be based on the questionnaire you answer when applying for a ticket. Maybe some people are not fully honest.

I only went once - had to give a poncy conservative a mouth full on the way out.

Why, because s/he disagreed with you?

I went once, and was harassed outside, after the show, by a leftie

Did you harass them simply for having a contrary view? If so, it may be.  Shocked

I was joking - I don't harass anyone ever.

Wayne Swan, worst Treasurer in history.

You wern't around when Howard was treasurer, his actions put us into recession and he even denied that we were.  In my life time Howard was clearly and by a large margin the worst treasurer.

Well I was harassed afterwards by a young leftie, simply for being conservative. I gave him as good as he gave me, though.

As for Howard, I am sure that you have no bias on the matter. Hard for me to comment on events before I was born, but did he turn a $22 billion surplus into a $44 billion deficit, with wasteful and reckless spending on failed schemes like the fatal home insulation, overpriced school halls and letting in boatloads of illegals?

Howard left a 10 Billion deficit when that was a lot more than 44 billion is today.

home insulation

It wasn't a failure in terms of cost or effect,  more than a million homes are insulated.

overpriced school halls

About 98% were found to have been good value.

letting in boatloads of illegals?

Abbott spent most of the term making sure they kept comming as well - but thats OK.

1. Anyone who expressed conservative views on Q & A, ie, anti-homosexual marriage, ant-abortion, offshore processing, is booed and torn down in flames.

2. The Insiders regularly has 2 left-wing journalists, and 1 conservative, along with big lefty host Barrie Cassidy.

Being that the taxpayer pays for these shows, aren't we entitled to a bit of balance?

1. Are you of the thought that ALL conservatives have the same views on everything?  Perhaps the majority of Australians from all sides of politics have moved out of the 50s era and really don't care what happens in a homosexual bedroom, and believe there are some reasons abortion should go ahead, and believe in asylum seekers rights and the way Australia deals with them.  Mr Abbot may lead the Liberal Party - but his views and opinions are just that - His!  If he wishes to make his views and opinions party policy and insist that all Liberals abide by them I reckon he would lose out big time

2.  Piers and Bolt are also regulars on that show - hardly 'left leaning"     Roll Eyes

lololol ummm so since Piers and Bolt have regularly appeared on this "program" it couldnt possibly be biased??

It is no wonder labor keeps getting voted back in with the mentality like this.

In my humble view, the insiders and Q&A panels may appear lefties, but in truth are pretty conservative; I sent numerous questions on financial matters; neither would air them, because the boss of the ABC is probably paid $500,000 plus and is trying to protect the priviledged status of the highly paid public servants.

People like Matty and Swagman constantly mouth the cliche that the ABC is politically biased. I have yet to see any of them produce one piece of concrete evidence, I doubt they ever will.

The figures at the start of Q and A will only be inaccurate if people lie about their political persuasions.

It doesn't matter whether a news outlet is state-owned or private, we are entitled to expect fair and balanced news coverage. Tha ABC gets closer to producing that than any other news source in the land.

The Q & A panel seems to often, though not always, be balanced, but the audience isn't. I don't care what the numbers at the start say, they're not true.

So now you are back peddling.

The problem is that most of the far right philosophies such as yours matty don't stand up to any sort of scrutiny. Thats why you will only hear them on anonymous internet forums like this one.

No, I am not, I meant the audience from the outset, although the panels can sometimes be too skewed to the left.

How am I far right?

Don’t pay any attention to them, Matty. He has to show proof to back up his claim or it doesn’t count.

Besides, you’ve proved that you were once a member of the Greens, so the claim doesn’t match reality.

You’re a progressive centrist. Like Mr Abbott.

Thoughts?
