Almost every episode has a segment on boat people, gay marriage, and climate change; which are all cheered on by the biased audience. If anyone has a differing view from the leftist orthodoxy, then the boos and hisses start.
Its funding should be pulled. feel free to go and watch live ... you too can boo and hiss at anything you don't like ... the fact that people that are passionate about the issues you have raised voice that passion does not make the ABC or Q & A biased. When they have regular segments as well on topics like drive by shootings in South-Western Sydney, immigration quotas, and practical ideas on lowering unemployment (instead of whining about big business), then I might consider it unbiased. like I said, feel free to go and ask whatever question you like ... that's the beauty of it .. the public asks the questions .. obviously others don't care about the issues you mentioned (or not enough to go onto Q & A and raise the issue) ... instead of accusing the ABC of being biased, why don't you go to a show and raise them yourself? You don't even have to get of your backside ... you can send a question via the internet, all you need is a webcam . I think they even accept questions via twitter ... while your at it maybe you can raise the issue of the ABC being biased, see how they respond. The fact that people don't ask what you want asked is not a reflection on the show. You seem to think I haven't posted questions on their website. Also, you seem to claim that it is as easy as posting a question and it will be presented. All questions are analysed and moderated according to the agenda of the QandA organisers. If they hit on topics too far from their trendy agenda, then they're ignored. You can't tell me that gay marriage is the number one topic Australians talk about, or even a topic in their top 5. Workers at lunch time don't sit around talking up the positivity of gay marriage. Most people don't give a sh*t about it. ahhh, so you are upset they didn't ask your question? why wouldn't they? how could anything be more important than what misty wants to ask? they get hundreds of questions and they cannot ask them all. They are a TV show and as such they react to the viewing audience . Obviously gay marriage and boat people bring in the punters. The fact they don't ask your question does not mean they are biased, it means they are trying to attract a wider viewing audience than one. Okay, yep, it's only me in Australia who wants questions asked on immigration and lowering unemployment. probably not ... but right now the hot issues are gay marriage and asylum seekers ... when immigration becomes the hot ticket, those who still have questions on gay marriage can then post that the ABC is biased because it won't air their questions ....
