You dont understand that answer to this question because you are so simple and so pittifully ignorant that complex questions elude you.

I presume that every dollar you get paid is spent immediately so you can be removed the burden of savings and investment. nothing else could possibly explain your unbelievablu limited understanding of basic finanacial management. No wonder the govt woudlnt give you a grant. You fail on the most basic qualification: financial competence.

Where in the bible does it say to hoard money instead of passing it on straight away to the needy ??

How would the government be if it held back welfare payments because it wanted to earn a little bit more from bank interest ?

The church just makes up it's own rules when it comes to donations and no one can question it. That makes it open to corruption which in this case it was Sad

investment is not hoarding, mental-nail.  but I was right.... you spend everything every pay day and then come on here to attack those with assets and savings.

loser.

Like I said you can't show me in the bible where it says to stash tithes away in a bank because the bible says the complete opposite !! Would you like me to repeat the verses for the 1000th time ?

And sticking it in a bank is hoarding it idiot !! Even your own bible says it is. What good does sticking it in a bank help desperately needy people who need it NOW !!  The churches stuck it in the bank vault instead of passing it on to desperate needy people. In the end the greedy churches lost it all and the needy still went without. Your attitude towards the needy is no different than your attitude towards the underclass on this forum Sad

People are getting sick of your hypocrisy and double standards.  Angry

your inability to comprehend is truly stellar. they get a bequest of $1M. what do they do? according to you they take it in cash and give it away that day. and then tomorrow... oops nothing left! In my world and theirs) they put it in a bank and use it responsibly and feed the poor daily - the balance going up and down according to income. income varies significantly, expenses do not.

its called fiscal management, something you appear to be blatantly unaware of.

That's complete bullshit. People go to churches because the church institutions have brain washed people at a young age to attend the church in order to indoctrinate them later on in life to donate money to them when they are of a working age !! It's all part of the scam Sad

There is no need to attend a church gathering in order to read one old book. That can be done at home in privacy and donations can be made to more efficient charitable organizations who don't waste a lot of it on pomp and pageantry as well as useless investments that deprive the needy of desperately needed funds !!

From time to time i make donations to what i consider worthy causes, to help children, or to spread the [God's] word.

I don't make those donations because i am brain washed.

I make those donations because i choose, and hope to, help people less well off than myself, when i can.

You are correct though, i don't need to attend a church to do that.

Why would anyone donate to a church that sticks it in a bank vault for years on end or buys property ??

Is that you expect when you donate money to a charity who's job it is to help out the needy ?

the entire notion of preparing for a future escapes you. fortunately the charities are wiser than you and invest to ensure a steady stream of income in the lean years. your attitude is why you ar a bankrupt loser living in rented accomodation. no preparation for the future.

here's what the bible says about wealth. You obviously ignore these in favour of cherry picking something that ignores the true spirit of giving !!

Quote:
Matthew 6:19

    Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Luke 14:33

    Any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.

Matthew 6:24

    No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Money.

Matthew 19:21

    Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

Hebrews 13:5

    Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

Phil 2:3

    Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

Acts 2:44-45

    All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.

nail,

Well done! with those bible quotes!       Wink

Everywhere in the bible God calls on men to be industrious, and to honestly work to achieve [what is good, and for] what they desire.

Nowhere in the bible does God call on men to take [i.e. to steal] from the rich, and to give the possessions of the rich to the poor.

God asks us all [and especially the rich] to be compassionate, and to give to those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

It is called charity, not theft.

Theft, is a crime.

Proverbs 3:27
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
28  Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.

Proverbs 12:24
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.

Proverbs 21:25
The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
26  He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

Matthew 25:26
His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27  Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

God doesn't like cheating others to get rich;

Proverbs 20:23
Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.

Micah 6:10
Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable?
11  Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?
12  For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

bobby,

Are you sure that you are not just another attention seeker, like SPOT ?             Grin

I just watched your 3 m. YT;
Pope Invokes Lucifer - Easter Vigil Mass: "Lucifer, Christ is your Son

Jesus;

Matthew 20:25
But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
26  But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
27  And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

I don't like the church hierarchy.

I am not attracted to it.

Read Ezekiel 34, about the 'shepherds' of Israel.

Ezekiel 34 is still relevant for us.

I read the bible, i meditate, and i pray to God, and sometimes i try to fast.

That's not what it says in their own bible and yet they claim to represent the bible and even claim to teach from the bible !! Read you own bible sometimes  !!

The truth of the matter is that the churches operate like a business but unlike a business they DON'T pay tax on their takings nor are they accountable ion the way they spend other peoples money.

So this is all about fiscal management is it ? So how do they dole out money to the needy ?? Scrape a bit of gold leaf off the wall ?

Yeah however i dont think satan or lucifer are any more evil than mohammed or jesus. They are all equally fictional characters. Of course the mass gives the ppl from other sects something to whinge about. They are all so hypocritical that it isnt really a surprise that they change the name to lucifer now.
