They also go to Romans and a variety of other places. You could always try being informed as an antidote to your consistent error.

so you are willing to kill people just because some old book says to ?

So - Sprint & Baron - two declared believers -
what do you think of the 2012 Mass on the video?

At 2.27 it says "Lucifer who will never be defeated, Jesus is your Son......"
Or that was about the interpretation I read.

Maybe he refers to sin. Maybe he is saying we cannot defeat sin, and our sin gave birth to Jesus ?

Just a guess

Hi Sprint,
Nice try  but don't you feel a bit like an apologist for them?
All that devil stuff puts me off the church.

I'm not too keen on the heirachy of some churches.
It's not what baron or myself experienced. It's not what Jesus spoke of.
Churches have much good to speak of.

The funniest part of this is that you guys actually believe the translation provided by the (obviously anti-Catholic) religious nutter, who posted the vid....

It's like the fictitious Talmud 'quotes' that Wharfy keeps posting...

fools get sucked in all the time. booby - a typical fool - doesnt use his brain. Like the Catholic church is going to openly have devil worship like that? it doesnt even pass the test of credibility.

but atheist-nail and booby fall for those kinds of pranks all the time because they dont look for facts - they look for something - anything - that agrees withtheir point of view and accept it as truth. morons like that, without a critical reasoning bone in their body will fall for everything.

so how do you explain 600 years of the Catholic Inquisition of torturing people to death or do you just ignore the evidence like you do with everything else that you don't agree with ?

Of course he did - thats what xtian means isnt it? Thats the ONLY thing all the xtians claim to have in common. catholics, mormons, jws, pentacostals, adventists, westboro baptists, etc . . . .

Maybe old leveticus meant lie as in tell a fib.

All this trouble over nothing.
Cheesy Tongue Cheesy

grammatically that wouldn't make any sense !!

Which is why theres so much "interpretation" going on. Its a very badly written book.

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter.  It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth!  was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter.  In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders.  How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison.  To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross.  As a Christian I have no duty to allow my self to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice…  And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows . For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people."

Why does he need to 'explain it'.....It happened, we all know that...it STILL doesn't have anything to do with devil worship....And even 'admitting' the devil exists means you must accept the opposite idea, that God exists...

because he talks as though I have made these things up and they are of no consequence !!

Everyone is talking about how bad Hitler was and how is it possible that he is a Christian but Christians like to ignore a totally worse event perpetrated by a Christian institution for at least 600 years !!

go figure !!

They're probably 'ignoring' it because it has no relevance to the topic.

But if ya wanna bring that into it, how about that lovely atheist fella by the name of Joseph Stalin, who's body count dwarfs that of the inquisition and hitler combined?  maybe we should just ignore that too?

Who's ignoring anything. Religions, tribes, pagans, families and individuals have all done horrible things. The aborigines used to eat one another. Hitler still wasn't a christian though.

He was, actually.

I'll take your "he was actually" and raise you a "nuh-uh"

Quote:
"Christianity is an invention of sick brains," Adolf Hitler, 13 December 1941.

"So it's not opportune to hurl ourselves now into a struggle with the Churches. The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death," Adolf Hitler, 14 October 1941.

If I was a christian, I'd be claiming him in the name of our lord and saviour JC - few people have achieved half as much as Adolf.
