Robert,
Would you say the same about someone who identifies as being a Nazi?

Yep.  There's only one thing that makes one a mass murderer - killing heaps of people.

Hi Robert,
so you are not concerned about the rise of Catholics & you
wouldn't be concerned about the rise once more of Nazis?

My claim is that they are both failed doctrines which led to the death & torture of millions of people.
We accept Catholics but not Nazis - go figure?

the RISE of catholics?  Oh boy - you're only a millennium out of date...

and I'd actually welcome a rise in nazis - it'd certainyl help to separate the fact from the fiction. The whole nazi image is too "cartoon super-villain-ish" to be real, and besides, it couldn't be worse than the differnt brand of fascism we live under anyway.

You'd welcome the Nazis - until they put you a concentration camp & gassed you to death.

Maybe you're a Nazi!

Abrahamic religion has now moved into the new phase of Corporate Transhumanism, Big Dave. If you or anyone else is not aware of this, see:

Transhumanist FAQ: http://extropy.org/faq.htm
Wealthy, influential and determined proponents: http://www.2045.com/
Multiple organizations: http://www.acceleratingfuture.com/michael/works/transhumanistorganizations.htm
Scientology: http://forum.rickross.com/read.php?12,74533,74538
Mormons: http://transfigurism.org/
Movie stars: http://ieet.org/index.php/IEET/more/treder20101111
Dalai Lama: http://www.2045.com/dialogue/29819.html
International org'ns: http://humanityplus.org/get-involved-2/chapters-of-humanity/
Universities: http://singularity.org/
Target students: http://hplusmagazine.com/2011/04/18/how-to-start-a-student-transhumanist-group/
Overcome "human limitations": http://www.nickbostrom.com/ethics/values.html
by turning human beings into bioelectronic cyborgs: http://lifeboat.com/ex/transhumanist.technologies

Much of the extreme violence and inhuman brutality in modern movies are overt celebrations of transhumanist ideals arising from the physical supremacy and ruthless violence of which technologically-enhanced humans are presumed capable. This is the ultimate goal of Abrahamic religion - Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

Finding "evil" gives warmongers permission to use evil techniques to fight the evil.

The War on Terror gave us permission to use torture just like the Inquisition.

It's certainly interesting 52midnight. It see it in simple terms because that's about all I can do. I believe there is an elite class in each country. They keep their countries  rigged for their benefit, but give enough away to keep their people happy and country prospering. When another elite group in the world is a threat to their prosperity, safety etc they go to war. Religion, the media , nationalism etc etc are used as a tool to make sure people follow their team . But I believe religion in the west isn't a motivation to go to war but a way to get people to go.

crap

aetheist SAY they use leviticus to say gays are evil.
but they dont.

the message in most christian churches would be based on the life of christ.  not on leveticus.

please show me where christ ever mentioned leveticus.

If the church no longer uses Leviticus, and Jesus didn't have it in for gays, why does the church have it in for gays? On who's authority? if they are not using the word of God.

Not accepting two jokers and a cocker spaniel as indistinguishable from mum and dad is not exactly 'having it in for gays'.
You don't have to be a Christian to think that two blokes playing ma 'n da is a farce.  Or do you really, really think that it is no different from a father and a mother?

That explains why you have it in for gays.

Why do Christians say homosexuality is a sin if they don't use the breathed word of God as a guide? Who told them it's a sin?

Do you actually need god to tell you that sticking a bloke up yer arse is a bad idea?
What else do you need spelled out?

I can just hear you, numpties, "Oh yeah?? Where does it say in the bible that you shouldn't put your food up yer arse? Or to burn your children or jump off a cliff, eh? Show us where it says that??"

You haven't watched the video - so don't comment on it.
You need to watch it to get an education.
These things are real - they really happened!

forgiven

I didn't NEED to watch it, I already know what the Inquisition was about.

Here's the truth.

Quote:
THE TRUE FACE OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC INQUISITION --
ROTTEN SPIRITUAL FRUIT FROM THE ABYSS OF HELL

few people know specific details of this murderous campaign that lasted over 1,200 years, killing 75 million people. But, once you understand the unprecedented horrors of the Inquisition, you will never look at Roman Catholicism the same way again.

Warning - not suitable for children or those faint of heart.

At the risk of exceeding your (quite justified) limits of credibility, and assuming that you're prepared to read a lengthy, flawed diatribe that nontheless presents much worthy of contemplation, could I recommend:

So - Sprint & Baron - two declared believers -
what do you think of the 2012 Mass on the video?

At 2.27 it says "Lucifer who will never be defeated, Jesus is your Son......"
Or that was about the interpretation I read.

Maybe he refers to sin. Maybe he is saying we cannot defeat sin, and our sin gave birth to Jesus ?

Just a guess

Hi Sprint,
Nice try  but don't you feel a bit like an apologist for them?
All that devil stuff puts me off the church.

I'm not too keen on the heirachy of some churches.
It's not what baron or myself experienced. It's not what Jesus spoke of.
Churches have much good to speak of.

The funniest part of this is that you guys actually believe the translation provided by the (obviously anti-Catholic) religious nutter, who posted the vid....

It's like the fictitious Talmud 'quotes' that Wharfy keeps posting...

fools get sucked in all the time. booby - a typical fool - doesnt use his brain. Like the Catholic church is going to openly have devil worship like that? it doesnt even pass the test of credibility.

but atheist-nail and booby fall for those kinds of pranks all the time because they dont look for facts - they look for something - anything - that agrees withtheir point of view and accept it as truth. morons like that, without a critical reasoning bone in their body will fall for everything.

so how do you explain 600 years of the Catholic Inquisition of torturing people to death or do you just ignore the evidence like you do with everything else that you don't agree with ?

well I dont pretend I can speak and translate latin like you bozos do and declare things that are ridiculous. dont you ever get sick of being wrong?

and for th 87643rd time. I'm not catholic so I have nothing to defend nor do I really care what you say about catholics. after all, if it is like any other topic you enter, your comments will be wrong, very wrong, out of context or ludicroua.
