It's not right to kill anyone for their religious or any other beliefs.

using boobys idiotic claim of 75 million dead in the inquisition, a real researcher would skip the interente entirely since it wasnt there at the time. actual documents, history recorded at the time would be where you would start.

but given that the population of europe scarely even reached that level the 75million claim can be dispensed with immediately.

REAL RESEARCH goes to the source data not some dodgy website that has figures you like.

i imagine for a lot of them , it means finding peace and happiness through surrendering their own small ego's to a greater power. very similar to the concept of AA.

nothing ventured nothing gained.

i was in nepal for a month and was struck by how happy the people were. i thought buddhism was some weird cult, but like all great spiritual thinkers , the buddha was an incredibly wise man . i have read quite a bit of his teachings and they have helped me enormously.
surprisingly, much of what the buddha said, (and what confuscius said ) fits in very closely with what christ said.
i would encourage people to look upon these chaps as teachers more than gods.

if you wanted to get into IT you would definitely fast track your progress by studying the inspired teachings of bill gates and steve jobs.

if you are interested in spirituality (and despite what anyone may tell you, we are INTENSELY spiritual beings) then the teaching of christ and the buddha are superior to the teachings of the daily horoscope.

has it not occured to you borg, that some christians are intensely happy and fulfilled and even if they are believing in a fiary king, might it not be worth having some of what theyre having Wink

See you go along very well then you have to try to make me like you. Doesnt work like that. there are plenty of happy atheists in the world and plenty of unhappy religious ppl. If you are happy pretending to believe in imaginary beings then good on you but dont expect others to do it because you say so.

Also - perhaps some ppl are "intensely spiritual" whatever that means but others are not. It is NOT a species thing.
