Thomson?

If you defend that slimeball, dnarever, then you are letting bias go way beyond the acceptable norm?

His actions - the ones confirmed and known about - show scant regard for the membership money of the lowest paid workers in Australia and you know that.

Considering the comment I was responding to: asking if he has been charged with anything I would think reasonable. Simple answer is yes he was charged with this or no still no charges?

Hardly unreasonable, I honestly have not been keeping up with the recent events on this one.

In my view it has always been to let the card fall, if he is guilty of anything he should get what he deserves.

What I do not like is the way he has been already found to be guilty by Tony Abbott and his cronies in the party and media circus - kangaroo style justice or the way the Liberals have had their grubby fingers all over the process.

He may be guilty or not but either way the Liberals performance has been abominable.

Slipper faces pension dilemma

FORMER parliamentary Speaker Peter Slipper risks losing millions of dollars in retirement benefits if he is convicted of using his government Cabcharge card to tour restaurants and wineries.

When he retires, Mr Slipper can expect to receive a yearly pension of about $157,000 for the rest of his life.

However, if he is found guilty of the alleged fraud, Mr Slipper is likely to lose everything besides a refund of his superannuation contributions (without interest).

Mr Slipper's retirement package is especially lucrative because of his long service - 23 years as an MP - and his occupation of highly paid roles including Speaker of the House of Representatives, where he earned an annual salary of $371,463.

The threat to his entitlements provides an incentive for him to resign before he faces court next month, if he fears a guilty verdict and wants to protect his pension.

seems to me sometimes thats all they are in it for.. who wouldnt like $157k a year???

from what I have read this sleaze has been handing out cabcharge blanks for ages..using them to buy people..

this system is broke... someone fix it fast.

Do we all understand that he was using cab charge instead of having a personal car provided and often having a chauffeur driven Limo on standby for his use?

The fact is that even though if true this abuse is not supportable in any way that he has probably saved us a lot of money on his legitimate transport over the years.

By the way - I have seen chauffeur driven government Limo's at the wineries and restrauants.

I wrote a letter to the Commission of the Federal Police re Peter Reith phone card fraud

Quote:
Peter Reith $50,000 dollar phone card fraud – Will you please reinvestigate and lay charges for defrauding the commonwealth even thou he paid it back I believe – he still defrauded the commonwealth and this should not be ingnored.

Also the involvement of the LNP MPs, Brough ,and Ashby, Doane, especially after Justice Rares decision. I believe this type of action is Sedition, trying to bring down a legit elected government by illegal means.

Also Mr.Brough receiving stolen property – Personal Diary of an elected official.

Also will you look at Tony Abbott book tour in 2009 where it is alledged he used taxpayer fund to push his book release. Please check all his travel documents to ensure the commonwealth has not been defrauded.

Also will the AFP check all MPs use of Commonwealth cars, Taxi vouchers to ensure non of them have defrauded the commonwealth.

As a citizen of Australia I believe the above need to be investigated thoroughly and summons need to be made just like the AFP has done in case against Peter Slipper.

Here is the link to report a crime

http://www.afp.gov.au/contact/report-a-crime.aspx

I have also sent this to the PM

Quote:
Dear PM,

I wish to ask that you may be inclined to instruct the AFP to re open the Peter Reith phone card affair as I believe a fraud to the commonwealth has been committed over a long period of time. I believe this occurred from 1994 to 2000. I believe the monies was paid back, but a crime had still been committed – Divulging Pin numbers, etc.

I also request the AFP investigate the Ashby/Slipper affair as I believe this to be considered Sedition by trying to bring down a legitimate government by changing the numbers in the house by unlawful means.

I also reuest the Mr.Brough be investigated for receiving stolen property that being the diary records of Mr.Slipper. Also I believe Mr.Ashby and Ms Doane acted with the support of the QLD LNP to defraud the commonwealth as they were not really performing their duties whist trying to undermine Mr.Slipper.

I also would like to know what can be done in regard to the so called doctor certificate Mr.Ashby received whilst employed by the commonwealth that may of been obtained under false pretences.

I would also like the AFP to investigate Mr.Abbotts travel allowances as I’m led to believe he was using commonwealth funds to launch his book tours, especially the launch of battle lines in 2009.

Thank you for your time and can you please keep me updated with the progress of my request.

Regards.

In the Guidelines for Medical Practitioners on Certificates Certifying Illness – 2011 it states under section 4.1 the following:

The Responsibilities of Medical Practitioners

4.1 Medical certificates are legal documents. Medical Practitioners who deliberately issue a false, misleading or inaccurate certificate could face disciplinary action under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law. Medical practitioners may also expose themselves to civil or criminal legal action. Medical practitioners can assist their patients by displaying a notice to this effect in their waiting rooms.

If the medical certificates were fraudulently obtained with the knowledge of the medical practitioners concerned then the latter would be liable to disciplinary action.

I would think that either could be official or not - there is no reason to connect the function of the visit with the mode of transoprt.

Is he going to court about that? My belief is that the accusation was withdrawn?
