Pansi, read the "Greens at war".

Bob Browns staff referred to Rhiannon as "that troublesome Commie b*tch".

Rhiannon and Brown had screaming matches at her continuing undermining of him on several issues.

So even Federal Greens call her a Communist.

didnt she organise  Boycotts of the Jews. I mean is that appropriate from a senator??

seems pretty racist to me.

The boycott Israel campaign was one of the sources of tension between Rhiannon and Brown.
Brown went on TV and openly stated the Boycott Israel campaign was NOT SUPPORTED by the Federal Greens.
Rhiannon said it was the same week.

Also her continued support of NSW Greens and belief the Greens should be driven locally v Brown's belief of a centrally driven party was an issue.

The fact also that Rhiannon went on national TV and said that all donations to political parties should be reviewed to prevent corruption the very same week that Brown was appearing to a Parliament committee to explain the largest donation in history was seen as a swipe at Brown and undermining him.

She was apparently referred to as 'that fking Communist' in a fiery meeting at Brown's offices.

Rhiannon is - it must be said - an out and out Left winger whereas Brown is more on the Right of the Greens wing.

how about the greens telling her to bugger off..??? oh thats right a seat is more important.

Seriously? Explain to me what things she has done that are communist.

SOB

Early life

Lee Rhiannon was born Lee Brown, the daughter of Bill and Freda Brown, who were long-term members of the Communist Party of Australia (CPA) and later the Soviet-aligned Socialist Party of Australia (SPA). Her parents' membership of the CPA led to documentation of her life by the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) from as early as the age of seven.[1] She joined the SPA around 1973.[2]
She sat the New South Wales Higher School Certificate at Sydney Girls High School in 1969 and graduated in 1975 as a Bachelor of Science, majoring in botany and zoology with honours in botany, at the University of New South Wales.[3]
During the 1970s Rhiannon was arrested during anti-apartheid protests. In the 1980s she helped organise a "peace camp" protest outside the joint US-Australian defence facility at Pine Gap, central Australia.[4] According to Mark Aarons, she left the Socialist Party in the early 1980s.[5] Rhiannon edited the Soviet-funded and backed newspaper Survey from 1988 until it ceased publication in 1990.[6][7] She joined the Greens in 1990.[3]
Lee Brown married Paddy O'Gorman, from whom she separated in 1987. They had three children. Following their separation, she adopted the surname "Rhiannon", the name of a figure from Welsh mythology.
[edit]Parliamentary career

So being a member of a club in her younger days makes her a communist now? Seriously what has she actually done thats communist?

SOB

According to lefties - being accused of punching a wall when Abbott was 20 years old amounts to being guilty of a woman basher

What's worse - did the punch happen at all?

Of course it didn't, otherwise Abbott would've been charged and put before a court, which he wasn't.

Here's something good that could come out of the prank. Saving the environment is good, isn't it?

From SumOfUs.org, they run some worthwhile campaigns.

ANZ has signed the Equator Principles, voluntarily promising not to loan money to projects that have a negative social or environmental outcome. Companies like ANZ are extremely vulnerable right now to consumer pressure on the environment, especially when it's made previous commitments to stop climate change. If enough of us shame them, ANZ will have no choice but to live up to its promises.

Tell ANZ Bank to stop the devastating destruction of our forest lands and climate by overturning the loan to Whitehaven coal and abiding by the Equator Principles.

The fake press release actually ended up wiping more than $314 million off the value of Whitehaven coal, prompting the stock exchange to stop trading. It was an incredible testament to the power of disruptive activism. And now its our job, as citizen-consumers who care about corporations keep their commitments to fight climate change, to keep the pressure up.

perhaps if Tinkler didn't eat so much mum and dad investors would be even better off.

What pathetic emotional reporting. I'd like to see documented evidence that the "hundreds of investors" who lost all their money were mum and dads, as opposed to professional investors who look at the market going ons every 30 seconds.

Doesnt matter. Stealing is stealing regardless of who, why or if the goods were returned.

1 year for every million is cheap.

exactly why this type of emotional reporting is such utter nonsense.  Nothing more than to get the peanuts all angry like.

As per your second part: So he would get 0 months then? In fact, they'll give him a get out of jail free card?

And ps: it wasn't stealing peanut, it was fraud.  "Fraud is fraud regardless of who, why or if they apologise."  Same effect as what you were trying to go for.

Recently, Senator Lee Rhiannon made the following observation in the Australian Senate:

Over recent months, there has been a revival of cold war rhetoric and McCarthyism style politics with the intent to discredit my work and in turn that of the tens of thousands of Australians who have joined socialist and communist parties. By far the majority of these people were motivated by altruistic values and a desire to serve the best interests of Australia and all humanity.

she said this in the senate.. under the greens umbrella.

So what? Abbott is a fascist bully boy bastard. The conga line prefer fascism to communism. Tell someone that cares.

This is no trivial matter, as Moylan faces a jail term of up to 10 years, with fines of up to $495,000.

I agree.  Fraud is a very serious crime and Moylan , if charged should be tried and duly punished in found guilty.

I assume you would agree that the same should be said of this other perpetrator of a fraudulant act of impersonation:

Ukip's Lord Monckton thrown out of Doha climate talks
The former deputy leader of Ukip, Lord Monckton, has been ejected from the Doha climate change talks and permanently banned after impersonating a delegate from Burma on the conference floor.

At one of the sessions, Monckton assumed the seat for Burma in place of the real delegate, and addressed the hall from his microphone. He spoke for nearly a minute, before being escorted out.

You can just imagine the outcry from the Greens if something similar happened with Labor and the Coalition.

The Greens always have been so hypocritically self-righteous.

Blamed the 2 parties for pay rises, yet took them. Encouraged the electorate to be more carbon neutral, yet get taxpayer funded car drives to Parliament and wasn't there a photo of Bob Brown and his chimney burning house? Blamed the 2 parties for taking donations, yet did so themselves.
