In a follow-up one page document it quotes chairman of the NSW branch of AF, Dr Jim Saleam, as saying, “This centre, linked as it must be to the politics of water-restriction and the organized-destruction [sic] of farm land, is the most viable symbol of Chinese imperialism in Australia.

“It ranks alongside the Ord River takeovers, the Cubby Station purchase and the ruthless control of Chinese students, as symbolic of the politics and economics of colonization [sic].

“It should be fought by ordinary Australians.”

The Advertiser contacted several migrant-affiliated community organisations who also thought the claims weren’t worthy of any comment whatsoever.

Member for Wagga Darryl Maguire, who been very supportive of the Waui Group, dismissed the comments of the political party.

“They can say what they like.”

Mr Maguire said the party were entitled to their own opinion and the public would form their own.

These latest claims by AF follow a number of racially-based comments on social media in Wagga in recent weeks.

Tell me wiseone?, do you agree with buyers from overseas taking control of our farm land and companies?

So tell me goose how much land are the Chinese going to buy to get the thing going? Is it all going to be farm land or is some crown land? The Liberal State Government is behind it as well.

Show me where I mentioned the Chinese.

Australia is no where near that figure.
