I wasn't talking about the quotes you have extracted from a private email and provided without any context.

I was talking about the quote above that which is based on a climate model. It's funny how it's all junk science until you find a quote which you think supports your position. Then one scientist's interpretation of a climate model is proof there is no underlying warming trend. Well tell that to the planet, progs.

I provided the links to the entire email conversation. What a sad world you live in that you cant read and reply in an email program. I am surprised you can even do a forum conversation.

It would seem that even junk science climate models have their limits to how far they will go before the climate tells them what others have been.

Thanks for yet again showing your closed mindedness and non-critical thinking. Even when you get what you ask for, you, typically of a cult member, just disregard it.

Well dont ask in future.

Quote:
"Bottom line: the ‘no upward trend’ has to continue for a total of 15 years before we get worried.’"

Prog's, quoting this small little piece from a private email is just misleading when the very next sentence is this. "We're really counting this from about 2004/2005 not 1998. 1998 was warm due to the El Niño."

Rather than pretending you have nothing too hide, why didn't you just quote the next sentence.

We're obviously a long way from 2019/2020.

You really are a very deceitful man, progs.

And while we're at it, progs, how about you link us to your answers to those questions. I know you haven't answered them and you know you haven't answered them.

I dont care when they decided to count. They are full of BS as everyone knows.

The important wording, to which I started this convo was about how long they think the or a pause should be before they get worried.

Anywhere from 10 years up to 17 years.

No, the wording I was after was how long would it take. Not from what date to start.

This whole co2 doomsday BS is or was riding on the models. The models fail after a 15 year period of low upward to downward trend. That started 16 year ago.

If you pick an outlier like 1998 you can create a statistical pause or low upward trend that lasts 15 years.  But as Phil Jones and Mike Lockward state in their email it doesn't have any real meaning. If the trend continues out till 2019, then we may have a real hole in either our understanding of natural variations or the influence of atmospheric CO2.

Im going with the model failure, not the failures of climategate.

Greenland 3000 metre deep ice cores and CSIRO comments

Dr Rubino says the team found that the last interglacial period "was eight degrees warmer than today."

"Eight degrees warmer is a big difference and it's actually bigger than it was previously thought to be," he said.

David Etheridge, who is also from the CSIRO and part of the ice core expedition, says there was some good news.

He says the research team found that Greenland was not as sensitive as previously thought to temperature increases.

"The Greenland ice sheet was perhaps a little bit more robust to warming than some of the ice sheet models were predicting - which is actually a good news story," he said.

"It means that for the future we can expect Greenland to not reduce as much and as quickly as some of the models were saying."
