Like it or not Damien Julia Gillard is the Prime Minister... and this arrogance as you put it pales in comparison to the machinations of YOUR faves in the past.
I bet your folks voted that way, and so do you, 'cos all you can do is make like a Parrot.
Actually, Emma, like a lot who take a stab in the dark, you are totally incorrect.
For many years (too many!!) I voted alp. I was even a union shop steward (and we know which way unions vote). Then I woke up to myself. These guys were not in gov to help us - the workers - they were in it for themselves. Take a look, for example, at the womaniser Hawke. Hazel stuck with him until he got what he wanted and then she was dumped for a younger version. Hawke is now a millionaire - certainly not a lot of workers are int he same situation as he is. But apart from that their 'promises' usually amount to zilch. I am still awaiting the promise that hawke made (amongst others) that there would be no child living in poverty (in the era when he was leader).
You just cannot trust them.
Not that it is any business of yours, but my parents also followed the alp promises.
So I trust that you can appreciate now that you are wrong when you make assumptions about someone you don't know.
