He is not real dumb but not super bright either, I would rate him about equal with Tony Abbott, both either smart for a dummy or dumb for a smart guy.

can you put up the picture of abbott wielding a chainsaw...I know you have one otherwise you wouldnt have brought him into this rudd thread would you?

The question in the title is not specifically asking about chain saws it is asking about intelligence, a comparitive answer giving a valid comparison is a valid method of answering the topic.

Can you identify Abbotts major safety failure?

I see no problem in this picture...

Two points.

You can also add to the list that Rudd wasn't wearing chainsaw chaps to protect his legs...

Note the perspective it would be a lot further away than it looks and it doesn’t even look close. There looks to be about a foot of space under the cut.

Again NFI DNA.

There is a clutch mechanism which engages the drive for the chain, only 1 gear typically but it is not always engaged, without a drive gear it wouldn't go.

If there is power behind that beading you could have fried Abbott on the menu.

Yes he messed up in all aspects of safety apparel. I hate chain saws and rarely use mine.

More NFI from DNA. There is no bloody gear box so there is no bloody neutral.

"only one gear typically" Jesus DNA how do you come up with that crap? Chainsaws are direct drive from the motor via a sprocket (NOT A GEAR) with a centrifugal clutch.

Many a chainsaw on idle will have chain creep.

Do you really think there would be live electrical wires behind that board DNA?
