I realised years ago on Blah-hoo that there was no point reading the
majority of Maqqa'a posts, and even less point replying to them.

Hence, I seldom bother to do either.

Two of those links were the same thread.  The others were not the same subject.  They are all reasonably coherent posts and seem to have generated good discussion.

Where do you think the forum rules were broken?

Do you care if a Member starts thread after thread after thread after thread after thread on exactly the same theme?  Just say so if you don't and I will not trouble you again.

I'll just do exactly the same, when it suits me.

As I said, two are duplicates of the same thread that you cut and pasted twice. This one:
Quote:
Victorian Premier Denis Napthine has urged Julia Gillard to start showing leadership on "the big issues" – or step aside and call an early election

One is about the federal opposition:

Quote:
The federal opposition will unveil its full industrial relations policy within weeks.

Opposition Leader Tony Abbott on Sunday reiterated promises to make "careful, cautious, responsible changes" to the Fair Work Act.

One is about Bell Weather seats:

Quote:
If Julia Gillard wants to win the next election, she probably needs the Labor Party to hold on in the western Sydney seat of Lindsay - one of the very few electorates that has been claimed by the governing party in every election since it was founded.

One is about Opposition members receiving text messages.

I won't go on. They are on different subjects.  So again, what forum rules were broken?

Why run to the protection of a lack of existing Rule?  You and I both can read read the 'Rules' as they are.

I don't care Muso......

I have the view that to allow repetitive Threads on the same theme is white noise.  But.......no matter.  I now understand what you want, and I will encourage DRAH to go for his life from now on.

I might even chip in.

After all..............there is no Rule.

There are very few rules. If you think there should be another rule, try a post in Feedback explaining how you think the rule can be interpreted and applied.  It needs to be clear cut though. We just can't apply arbitrary rules.

I wouldn't interpret those posts as spamming.

Hi Muso,
I think everyone should be limited to one new thread startup every day.

People like Maqqa who often start 10 or more  every day spam the politics board
& it's always anti-Labor - it's as if he is a paid Libbo stooge.

It means that other threads which may be more important get pushed off the top 20 list.

If the software can be set to stop this then maybe I should start a thread up on  the Feedback Board?

There is no Rule against spamming, no matter the definition either of us might suggest.

But.....I accept your judgement.   If there is no Rule breached, the Mods. will not intervene.

All good.

Good point there, Muso.....but there is no "Rule," just some weird invention about 'spamming' applied against DRAH.
