600 million.

That's the estimate of jobs that will need to be created in the developing world by 2020 to keep up with population growth.

200 milion unemployed now.

Have no links, figures from Time mag..

Scary future...

Might be easier to limit population growth.

It seems to be cultural, and as you improve your standard or living, your birth rate drops.

Trouble is, can the world support a few more billion middle class people consuming resources.

Is 200 million new unemployed beggers better for the world than 1 billion upgrading from poverty to middle class.

Resident of Beijing horrified by the acrid brown soup that enveloped the city on Jan 12.

Millions stayed indoors.

Pressure on foreign aid and refugees will become huge. Already over 50 million displaced people in the world now.

Local environment degridation is a geater concern that climate change IMO.

Too many people.

Good question. There was a bit on TV the other day about a doctor who passed away recently, she was a pioneer in contraception or family planning. Anyway, she had 8 kids, over 30 grandkids and over 30 great-grandkids.

Glad she knew what she was doing...

These countries with overpopulation need to own the problem themselves. By that I mean, they must take responsibility for their breeding. Don't breed it, if you can't feed it.

The population levels in these types of countries only ever stabilises after the women become educated. Then a middle class emerges and smaller families are produced. But, guess who has to foot the bill to educate these billions? We in West, that's who.

This morning, I talked to a guy from Laos. He said it’s the poorest country in the world.$600 average yearly income. No coast for ports, terrible roads, but people own land.

He said no one is starving, they just go into the jungle and pull out bamboo shoots and fish in the Mekhong. It’s true. All over Laos, you see people pulling things out of the jungle and the Mekhong.

It’s the most sustainable, easy-going country I’ve ever been to. Jobs? Forget about it.

They have the jungle and the river. The future, friends, is what we have at hand.

No one should expect the global economy to save them, particularly Australians, who have one of the highest per-capita incomes in the world.

Imagine being happy with what you have. For most people I know, this is unthinkable. They continually want more.

Maybe Laos would take me as a refugee. I wonder what the queue’s like.

the real big elephant in the room is

that ...all,

are becoming more conscious

why is this?

for this expanded consciousness has been set forth

by a finger of the creator and it is so..

everyone is feeling this to some extent yes

enjoy in this now moment

some may be fearful yet there is only one place

we are going and its a DNA >>>shift<<<

planetary shift ( planet to divide like a cell )

and so on and so forth yes

do carry on regardless

be at peace
